If you think the NFL is moving fast this week, wait until Week 13. The yearly platter of Cyber Monday, Thanksgiving, and Black Friday has all of our plates running over, and we haven't even sat down yet.

Along with the festivities, shopping, and eating/comas, football fans will be treated to three Thanksgiving Day games. Black Friday features an AFC West rivalry game between the Raiders and the Chiefs. In all, we have a full schedule. Every NFL team will take the field in Week 13.

We are rolling along this year on our lookahead lines best bets. Since we started in Week 5, our record is 14-8, and we've won 7 of our last 9, including a clean sweep this past Sunday. We trade line movement, other opinions, and injury news for positive expected value and the elimination of recency bias. Sometimes, we get burned by an injury or QB replacement, but it's worked out in our favor more often than not.

In last week's lookahead lines article, we tipped the Bucs, Eagles, and Broncos, all at (-3). We still have several days before kickoff, and Tampa is now (-6) and Denver (-5.5). The Broncos hold the positive EV record for the year when we picked them at (-4), and they moved to 13-point betting favorites before kickoff. The Eagles' line has moved slightly in the other direction. They're (-2.5) now, but you can still find 3's out there, and they'll likely move back up to a consensus (-3) before kickoff. They have won 6 straight games.      

Since next week will be incredibly chaotic and crazy for most of us, let’s look at the betting lines for Week 13 now. I have a couple more best bets to add to our total.

NFL Week 13 Lookahead Lines Best Bets

Tennessee Titans (+7) at Washington Commanders Odds (-7) Total: 44.5

Generally, if I'm looking to get ahead of a betting line, I try to focus on the games lined near a field goal. We can't beat the (-7) here, but I still want to get ahead of this one. The lookahead line actually opened at (-8), and I get it. The Commanders have finally come back to earth. The offense was putting up stats we haven't seen since Brady and Moss. It was bound to happen. We were on the Steelers in the lookahead to beat Washington.

This team is still well-coached, and they got 8 pressures on Jalen Hurts last week, which is highly impressive considering Jordan Mailata was back, making their offensive lines top 3 in the league.

Washington may have lost two straight, but they were both competitive games and against two of the hottest teams in football. It's one more week toward the end of the season. That means this game has more significance for the Commanders and far less for the Titans.

One of our lookahead wins this past Sunday was the Vikings over the Titans at (-6). The line is a little wider, but the formula remains the same.

One way we could get burned is if Washington has a last-minute emotional win against Dallas this week. But thankfully, they are favored by double digits.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5) at Carolina Panthers Odds (+6.5) Total: 44

If the formula is producing results, let’s stick with it. Tampa’s record is not at all indicative of who they are as a football team. Outside of the San Francisco 49ers, they’re probably the best non-playoff team in the NFL.

Baker Mayfield continues to produce yardage and scores even though his best offensive weaponry has been on the shelf for weeks. Tampa had a bye last week, and they play the Giants on Sunday. Then, after Carolina, they have the Raiders. So, there is no limp-in, letdown, or sandwich spot for them here.

Carolina has won their last two games, but they were outplayed in both, and neither came against solid competition. The combo of those two empty victories and multiple Tampa losses that could've been wins has this game under a touchdown. Otherwise, it would be more than that because the Panthers haven't been covering, and it's finally time for the weak half of the Bucs' schedule.
