PGA Props Picks: Wyndham Championship Predictions
Wow, what an Olympics it was for the golf world! The leaderboard was packed tightly with the best golfers in the world from Thursday until the final hole. It took a bogey-free 62 on Sunday for the world #1, Scottie Scheffler, to claim his first gold medal.
With Scheffler warming up for a potential playoff, Tommy Fleetwood couldn’t make up the one-shot difference on 17 or 18. Those are the #1 and #2 most difficult holes on the course.
It wasn't official from me, but I did mention if you were to pick a winner, Fleetwood at 22-1 or Scheffler at 4.5-1 were your best bets. We were on Fleetwood at (-139) to outplay Norway's Viktor Hovland, and he did so by to tune of 14 strokes.
Our other two selections were a top-10 parlay with Scheffler and Rahm, which hit but not after a collapse from the Spaniard on Sunday's back nine. This knocked him out of a potential medal, as well as a Top 20 parlay with Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Aberg, who finished 9th and 18th, respectively.
It doesn't get much better than that. Hopefully, we won't see any regression this week at the Wyndham Championship. As you might expect, the field is thin at best, with South Korea's Sungjae Im the favorite to win at 12-1.
His countryman Si Woo Kim, and nasty weather specialist, Ireland's Shane Lowry, each came in at 22-1.
I mention the weather, because the forecast for the Wyndham Championship looks filthy. We head down to Greensboro, North Carolina, for this one, and the remnants of Hurricane Debby will make their way through the south over the weekend.
We have some fun and interesting prop bets for the Wyndham Championship for you today. Let's hope our luck continues from the Olympics.

CT Pan (-125) vs Eric Cole (+105)
Taiwan's CT Pan is one of a handful of golfers competing this week who is making the trip from Paris, where he just did 72 holes in Paris. He played a good tournament, finishing just inside the top 20.
He does have a 2nd place finish here at the Wyndham, but lately, results of 64th, withdrawn, 29th, and 63rd have me wondering how much he cares. Then I saw that he took the time to come to Greensboro, North Carolina, to play in a tournament where he was the runner-up.
Nothing sucks like second, and he is flying west/gaining time. My money is on Pan being hungry and focused on this win.
Spread
CT Pan: -1.5 (+108)
Eric Cole: +1.5 (-140)
Eric Cole is looking to break the top 50 in the world for the second time. He does have a few top 10s here. However, Cole has been unable to make the cut on several occasions and also finished 45th or worse a few times.
I won't sell a stroke for .17 cents, but I will bet the moneyline on Pan to outplay Cole.
Pick: Pan Moneyline
Top 10 Finish Parlay
Sungjae Im/Jordan Spieth: +750
These odds are beautiful. Jordan Spieth and the previously mentioned Im are two of if not the best golfers in this tournament, and we are getting 7.5-1 on them both to finish inside the top 10. Keep in mind there are not many of the world's best in attendance this week in North Carolina.
Spieth isn't the most consistent golfer in the world. I will give you that, but he is one of the most skilled. We don't need him to string together months of steady play. We just need him to play up to his skill level, and that's it.
Well, we need the other guy to do his job as well. He's the betting favorite, though, so we couldn't have done much worse. Im is in incredible form, and his course history here is second to none.
Like Pan, Spieth also has a 2nd place finish here. He only has two appearances here since, and they didn't go well.
Pick: Im/Spieth Top 10 Parlay
Top 30
Shane Lowry: -140
Lowry is a beast in bad weather and isn't a golfer who spams tournament appearances, especially stateside. He has had some terrible days here lately. However, something turns on inside of this guy when it's windy and rainy.
Pick: Lowry Top 30
Top 40
Kurt Kitayama: -115
UNLV Rebel Kurt Kitayama is in his prime at 31 years old and coming off of a 6th-place performance at the 3M Open. That wasn't the best field either, but he did finish strong with a final round 5 under par.
Kitayama isn't incredible anywhere, but he plays within himself and doesn't pack it in and quit on himself by Saturday if things aren't going his way.
He has top 40 finishes in 16 out of his previous 19 tournaments. He missed the cut in the three he didn't get it. So, you know he plays out all 72 holes every time.
Pick: Kitayama Top 40
