PGA Props Picks: Black Desert Championship Predictions
Hey, the FedEx Cup Fall is off to a warm start with our cashing of Lucas Glover to finish inside the top 20 at (+275). He finished one stroke back over 72 holes and eventually tied for 3rd as Kevin Yu defeated Beau Hossler in a playoff.
This week, we make our way north of Las Vegas to the charming town of St. George, Utah. More often than not, serving as a gateway to Zion and other nearby National Parks, St. George has become a golfing haven. The Black Desert Championship lives up to its name, as you can see the aged volcanic soot-stained mountains in the distance from all over the course.
The FedEx Cup Fall may be void of your favorite superstar, but golf is becoming a younger and younger man's game. Last week, in our bets, we targeted some veterans like Glover. We may stay with him, but I'm eying more rookies this week, with this being a brand-new golf course.
Picking a winner on the PGA Tour is always difficult. And during the FedEx Cup Fall, the luck required to succeed exceeds the money in our bankroll.
There is value, though, potentially more than in a major event.

Matchup
Seamus Power (-140) vs Chris Kirk (+117)
This is a fade on Chris Kirk. He is the common denominator in several near auto bets for top 20 finish parlays. I don’t mind attacking the Top 10 parlays because the sportsbooks may choose for you, but at least it’s only two golfers.
If you want to parlay the top 20, they give you various groups of three. Kirk’s name is consistently next to the golfers projected to do the best in the field. It doesn’t take a genius to see how they set those traps.
It only takes a second for us to pause, though, and think of how we can use this locked door to our advantage. I also love betting odds in this range for favorites in golf matchups. They generally start out even, and we don’t have to pay a ton of juice to follow the steam.
Pick: Power (-140)
Top 30 Finish
Lucas Glover: +110
Glover has finishes of 13th and 3rd in his last two tournaments. And stylistically, the course at the Black Desert Championship favors him even moreso. He has more Bentgrass Greens wins than anyone else in the field. We can't argue with plus money on just a top-30 finish!
Pick: Glover (+110)
Top Oceana Golfer
Ryan Fox: -190
Aaron Baddeley: +210
Tim Wilkinson: +850
New Zealand's Ryan Fox clearly has a massive price tag next to his name here, considering the type of bet. Many times, it isn't the favorite who wins these, and we are betting against multiple golfers, not just one. In this instance, it's only two. Both Aaron Baddeley and Tim Wilkinson are far from Fox's level.
If Fox's name still doesn't ring a bell, think back to the BMW PGA Championship in 2023. In the Top 10 that weekend who finished behind Fox were Jon Rahm, Tyrell Hatton, Aaron Rai, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, and Ludvig Aberg.
The Kiwi can hold off these two.
Pick: Fox (-190)
Top 10 Finish Parlay
Daniel Berger/Lucas Glover: +2200
Breaking a cardinal rule here and exposing ourselves to Glover with two different bets isn’t the worst idea because, at 22-1, this is just a sprinkle. The Glover Top 30 at (+110) is our best bet.
We are getting incredible value here on these two, primarily because Daniel Berger has been so bad for so long.
I remember just a few years ago when this guy was an auto-bet for me for months at a time. He has since cooled off significantly, playing 22 PGA Tour events in 2024 with only three Top-25 finishes.
Last week, though, something clicked for FSU-alum. He made 14 birdies over the first two rounds with 0 bogeys. Berger cooled over the weekend but still finished 7th at 20 under par. That was his best finish since a Top 5 at The Memorial over two years ago.
If he were up and down for two years, I would expect regression but this last performance was an outlier. We know Berger has the talent off the tee. Let's hope he makes some putts, and this (+2200) really isn't that far off.
Pick: Berger/Glover Top 10 Parlay (+2200)
First Round Leader
Jacob Bridgeman: +6000
Clemson grad Jacob Bridgeman plays his best golf in the first round, the is in solid form with three top 20s over his previous four starts, and who doesn't love 60-1? The 24-year-old shot a 63 in the first round of the 3M Open. Then, last week at Sanderson Farms, he shot a 65 in the first round. It's a stretch, but a small sprinkle on Bridgeman to win the first round is worth it.
Pick: Bridgeman (+6000)
