PGA Championship Props Picks and Expert Betting Predictions
Okay guys, bet on Scottie Scheffler to win at 4-1 odds, and let’s call it a day.
I’m kidding, but not. There can’t be value on any golfer to win a major tournament at just (+400).
Right? More on the emerging all-time great in a moment. Let’s recap last week’s tournament and betting results first.
Rory McIlroy rallied on Sunday to win a record 4th Wells Fargo Championship. The Northern Irishman was one shot back of the eventual runner-up, Xander Schauffele, heading into the final round when he shot 6 under par to finish 5 strokes ahead of the field.
What he did was incredible. McIlroy walked into the clubhouse at (-17). To put that into perspective, only 20 golfers in total finished the tournament under par.
The man is locked in, and thankfully, we had him to outplay Schauffele. We also had the 4th place finisher, South Korea's resurgent Sungjae Im, to beat out Stephan Jaeger, which he did to the tune of 6 strokes.
Let’s keep the momentum going this week in Valhalla, Georgia for the second major of 2024, the PGA Championship.

Matchup
Brooks Koepka (+170) vs Xander Schauffele (-205)
Big Poppa Pump Brooks Koepka is typically off of our radar these days, as the LIV golfer took the money and ran toward the Middle East. Who can blame him, though? Professional athletes and even golfers risk their bodies and longevity nearly every week of the year for what?
I'm sorry to break it to you, but they don't do it for the fans. They do it for the money, and those who sold out the PGA Tour are now the most comfortable of all. Will that help someone like Koepka, though, against one of the most technical ball strikers in this week's PGA Championship field?
I don't know about you guys, but comfort is the enemy. I suppose that's what the online sportsbooks see here. Why else would they make this betting line so hot and tempting?
Despite his short stature, the San Diego native Schauffele does strike the ball quite well off the tee. Force x mass, though. Koepka can crack, and it's not just that. He has a far better track record at major tournaments.
The Florida native has 5 major wins to Schauffele's 0. Maybe it's a trap, but the betting line is ridiculous. Give me Koepka!
Pick: Brooks Koepka (+170)
Scottie Scheffler Top 5: +105
Scheffler is the man, and we all know it. McIlroy is coming off of an incredible week, but his odds to win are nearly double those of SS.
Scheffler has how many top 5 finishes in his previous 21 tournaments dating back 1 year to the 2023 PGA Championship?
The answer is 15. Many of these were wins, and I counted a few different 6th-place finishes, as well. The man is uncanny, and this bet is on autoplay until further notice.
Pick: Scheffler Top 5 (+105)
Top 20 Finish Parlay
Rory McIlroy/Scottie Scheffler/Brooks Koepka: +200
Yes, you could say that we are overexposed with multiple betting plays on not one but a couple of golfers. Our principals say that we shouldn't do that, but SS says differently. I feel like the New Jersey native is a lock for a top-20 finish.
Rory McIlroy is playing some of the best golf we have seen from him for possibly his entire career. He is coming off of two consecutive victories. Scheffler can say the same.
Meanwhile, Koepka has won the PGA Championship three times. I love these betting odds. I had to do a double take as I thought this line was for a top 10 parlay.
These are the 3 best golfers on planet earth.
We have 3 plus-money plays for this week, and I can see us cashing every one.
Pick: McIlroy/Scheffler/Koepka Top 20 Finish Parlay: +200
