Brace yourselves for another big night of NBA action with our carefully chosen prop bets. With a lot of basketball to digest and research to be had, we have your back. Our picks went 3-2 last week (23-17 overall), and we will try and improve on that mark this week. Wednesday night will feature 18 teams in action. And there is no shortage of talent, as Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, amongst others, will suit up. Doc’s Sports will break down some of tonight’s best plays on the hardwood floor.

Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets, OVER 6.5 assists (-120)

I am taking Murray’s assists total tonight against the Miami Heat. He loves dishing the rock against Miami and goes full surgical against them. Murray has covered this line in five out of his last six games against the Heat, and five straight overall. In Miami’s last seven games, they have allowed the fifth most assists to the point guard position. Murray heads into the matchup averaging 6.6 assists in the 2024 campaign and 7.4 APG in his last 10 games. The line for this matchup is 3.5 points, so expect everyone to get their full minutes of playing time in a tight game.

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks, OVER 9.5 rebounds (-125)

Doncic and the Mavs take on the Golden State Warriors, and I will be targeting his rebound total in this game. Luka has been on another planet as of late with triple-double after triple-double. Doncic is averaging over 10 rebounds per game over his last seven games and heads into tonight’s matchup averaging a tick over 37 minutes played per contest. Defensively, the Warriors are in the middle of the pack, ranking 14th overall in rebounds allowed. However, they rank 18th in the NBA in rebounds allowed to the point guard position. Look for Luka to dominate the boards for an eighth straight game.

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers, OVER 2.5 threes (+175)

If LeBron suits up tonight against the Kings with a tweaked ankle injury, I am taking a chance on his alternate three-point prop to make three three-pointers. James is shooting 47.6% from beyond the arc in his last 10 games while averaging 28.5 PPG in that span. He has been solid on the road, shooting 40.4% from three-point land during the entire 2024 season up to this point. The Kings are on the tail end of a back-to-back and allowed the Bucks to attempt almost 40 three-pointers in last night’s contest. With the over/under set at 237.5 for this game, expect a lot of scoring. I will gladly back King James for plus money.

D'Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers, OVER 25.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120)

Sticking with the Los Angeles Lakers, I am taking the over for Russell’s combo stats. In a marquee matchup, where the Lakers are currently the nine seed in the Western Conference and the Kings currently in seventh, everyone should see their normal minutes or more with 2.5-point spread. In his last 10 games, he is averaging 21 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.8 rebounds for a combined total over 30. In three games against the Kings in 2024, his totals are 18.3 PPG, 5.7 APG, and 3.0 RPG. If you have watched any Lakers games, it is obvious how important Russell is to the offense when LeBron and Anthony Davis are deferring to his shooting more often. The Kings defense should have somewhat tired legs as Sabonis, Fox, and Barnes each logged over 30 minutes despite a blowout win. Look for Russell to take advantage of Sacramento’s defense tonight.

Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers, OVER 4.5 assists (-125)

Mitchell has missed the last seven games with a bone bruise and the Cavs have gone 3-4 in that stretch. He is expected to lace his sneakers tonight and heads into the contest averaging 6.2 APG, which is good enough to rank 20th in the NBA. Mitchell’s return is important to Cleveland, as the Eastern Conference standings is a log jam from the two seed to the eight seed, with all seven teams within six games of each other. Mitchell’s ability to drive so successfully and then dish it to the Cav’s big men make five assists obtainable on any night.
