MLB props picks Aaron Judge New York Yankees

It is a full slate of games in Major League Baseball on Wednesday and there are plenty of great props to choose from. The Dodgers and Yankees have good matchups against mediocre pitching, Mike Trout and the Angels are enjoying the Florida weather against the Tampa Bay Rays, and the red-hot Cleveland Guardians will be playing in the historic Fenway Park. With less than average pitching matchups on Friday, we are going to fade pitching props and attack hitter’s props. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best player props from the diamond below.

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees, OVER 1.5 total bases (-105)

The Yankees are off to a great start to the 2024 season with a 12-6 record and get a Wednesday matchup with AL East foe Toronto. For our first prop we are going to take Aaron Judge and his total bases, for basically an even money payout. The Blue Jays are sending Kevin Gausman to the mound and the start of this season has not been kind. The right-hander is 0-2 with an 11.57 ERA to start the year. Judge has had a ton of success against Gausman in his career and there is a huge sample size. He is hitting .313 with four home runs and eight RBIs in 32 at bats. He also has a career 1.213 OPS against the Blue Jays pitcher. Look for Judge to get an extra base hit or multi-hit game against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers, OVER 1.5 hits (+155)

I am looking for Ohtani to have a multi-hit game on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. He faces a mediocre pitching matchup in Jake Irwin who has a 0-1 record with a 4.24 ERA through three starts in the ’24 season. He is allowing over one baserunner per inning pitched and his only good start came against the lowly Oakland A’s. Ohtani has never faced Irwin in his career, but he is off to a scorching start with the bat. He is hitting .341 with four home runs and 10 RBIs through 82 at bats. Collecting two hits on Wednesday afternoon is not out of the question for the All-Star hitter.

Julio Rodriguez, Seattle Mariners, OVER 1.5 total bases (+115)

It feels like Rodriguez is due for a huge game after a sluggish start to the season. The Mariners are taking on the Cincinnati Reds and face left-hander Andrew Abbott. The southpaw is 1-1 with a 2.60 ERA to start the year, but the lefty vs. righty power-hitter is an intriguing matchup. Abbott is allowing 1.28 baserunners per inning over his entire career and I am keying in one an extra-base hit for Rodriguez despite his poor numbers. The Mariners outfielder is hitting a putrid .206 with 0 home runs and five RBIs. He is a career .275 hitter with 60 home runs and 183 RBIs. Playing on home field, I am taking a chance with J-Rod to eclipse 1.5 total bases.

Bryce Harper, Philadelphia Phillies, OVER 1.5 total bases (+110)

The Phillies are at home against a poor 4-14 Colorado Rockies squad on Wednesday night. The Rockies are sending Ryan Feltner to the bump and Bryce Harper has found success against the right-hander. He has three hits in five career at bats with a 1.914 OPS. Just like J-Rod above, Harper has had a slow start to the ’24 campaign hitting .215 with four home runs and 11 RBIs. A career .280 hitter, look for Harper to bust out of a slump and have a huge game in front of his team’s home crowd on Wednesday night.

Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians, OVER 0.5 RBIs (+140)

The 12-5 Guardians are in Boston taking on the Red Sox and our last selection for Wednesday night will be Jose Ramirez registering an RBI at Fenway Park. Through 17 games to start the ’24 season, Ramirez has 15 RBIs. He is hitting .247 and has three home runs. The Red Sox are sending Tanner Houck to the mound and the right-hander has had a solid start to the year. He is 2-1 with a 2.04 ERA through three starts. Ramirez has been the Guardians’ most consistent hitter when it comes to plating runs across the board. If they are going to score against Houck, Ramirez will be a big reason why.
