TIME Magazine Ranks MGM Resorts as the Best 2023 Gaming Company

TIME has ranked MGM Resorts one of the best gaming companies in the world for 2023. According to the US publication, MGM was the top gaming company out of 750 worldwide public organizations and ranked 218 in the survey. The statistical data collected by Statista also confirmed these findings.

The Las Vegas, Nevada casino and sportsbook firm was first in the rankings followed by Caesars Entertainment (277 out of 750) of Reno, Nevada. In gaming companies based out of Las Vegas, Wynn Resort was third with a ranking of 430 and the Sands was fourth with a ranking of 483. The Ireland-based Flutter Entertainment, owners of FanDuel Sportsbook, was fifth with 597 and Penn Entertainment, co-owners of ESPN Bets, was 716 as a US regional gaming company based out of Pennsylvania.

Both MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment had a posting of “very high” when it came to growth rate. MGM was ranked 615 for “employee satisfaction” and Caesars was ranked 691. Classified under Hospitality, Travel & Leisure category, TIME’s overall ranking made MGM Resort and Caesars Entertainment as the two most recognized gaming venues of the six companies in the top 750.

MGM Resorts Retail and Digital Sportsbook

MGM Resorts International and Entain plc are co-owners of BetMGM. This retail and online sportsbook is available in over 20 US states and the District of Columbia. BetMGM Sportsbook also has operations in Ontario, Canada.

Forbes Global 2000 Recognizes MGM Resorts International

Back in July of this year in a published report, MGM Resorts was recognized as being the highest ranked gaming company on Forbes Global 2000 list. The co-owner of BetMGM Sportsbook placed 596th on Forbes’ rankings.

According to Forbes:

“The Global 2000 ranks the largest companies in the world using four metrices: sales, profits, assets and market value. There are 58 countries represented by the publicly traded companies on the list. The US leads the way with 611 companies on the ranking, and China comes in second with 346 Global 2000 companies.”

The concentration of gaming companies is small on the Forbes Global 2000 list. After MGM Resorts, the next firm with exposure in the gaming industry is VICI Properties in 758th place. VICI Properties owns the land where MGM Resorts operates and the company is the largest owner of gaming real estate in the US.

MGM Resorts International is the highest ranked gaming company on the list. Other gaming companies on the Forbes Global 2000 include Flutter Entertainment at 1077 and Aristocrat Leisure at 1611.
