Sunday Night Football Predictions: Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys
You don’t have to be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles to get excited for this Sunday Night Football primetime game. It is easily the biggest game of Week 14. Can the Cowboys finally get over the hump and beat one of the league’s top teams?
They have been playing their best football of the season, rattling off 4 consecutive wins. It could be a 7-game winning streak, though, if it weren’t for the Philadelphia Eagles beating them by 5 points back in the beginning of November.
So, why is Dallas more than a field goal favorite?
Well, Jalen Hurts is banged up. I am hearing it wasn't a lower body injury, and there are an equal amount of rumors being passed around that his lower body is compromised. Any starting quarterback is a huge piece of your offense, but you can make the argument that Hurts does more for his team than any other QB.
He is usually the team’s leading rusher. I think that’s why their offense sputters, but hey, I’m not an offensive coordinator.
Sure, the Eagles got smoked by the San Francisco 49ers. However, that's happening to everyone who plays them while they're healthy. That includes the Cowboys, who were beaten even worse.
Even with their loss to the Niners, Philly still controls their own destiny for the No. 1 seed in the NFC when the postseason begins. If the Eagles can beat the Cowboys on Sunday night, they all but lock up the NFC East division crown.
Dallas can pull even in the division, however, with a win. There is a lot to play for this week for both teams.

Eagles vs Cowboys Betting Odds
Point Spread
Philadelphia: +3.5
Dallas: -3.5
I am looking at the injury report for the Philadelphia Eagles, and other than the Hurts concern, they have a couple of key defensive stars listed as questionable, but those guys have still been practicing, albeit limited.
For the Dallas Cowboys, they didn't suffer many injuries in their game this past week. I am hoping Hurts is able to play. However, either way, this is going to be a fun one!
Moneyline
Philadelphia: +155
Dallas: -185
If you like the Philadelphia Eagles, please don’t get greedy here and go after the moneyline. You are getting the 3 and the hook. What more do you need?
Point Total
Over 52: -110
Under 52: -110
From what I can gather, the professionals are split on this game. I was hoping to hear something by now about the status of Hurts, but there haven't been any information leaks in the City of Brotherly Love this week.
Eagles vs Cowboys Betting Analysis
So, do we attack this game from a point total perspective? I don’t think 52 points is entirely out of the question. The Cowboys are coming in on extended rest after they and the Seattle Seahawks combined for an outrageous 76 points.
The first meeting between the Eagles and Cowboys this season was 28-23, which is right about where the total is for this week. I think we are going under this time around. And with the uncertainty surrounding the status of Hurts, it's hard to back Philly here.
They usually split their 2 games with Dallas each year. That looks like it is the Cowboy's game to lose. But guess what? They lose these games. How many wins do they have in the 2023 regular season over teams who currently have a winning record?
Survey says: 0.
I think they probably make it 1 this week. However, we aren’t getting the key number of 3 on Dallas. So, let’s play that primetime under.
