NFL Office Pool Picks Week 16
There are just 3 weeks to go in the office pools, and time is running out to make a late break up the season-long standings. We put together another solid week in Week 15, going a respectable 9-7 ATS. The favorites took care of business, going 12-4 straight up, and 11-5 ATS, in Week 15. The Super Bowl hopefuls will not be taking their foot off the gas as the regular season winds down. And with 13 of the 16 spreads sitting at 6.5 points or fewer, we should be in for an exhilarating week of NFL action. Here are your picks ATS for all 16 matchups, with the final score predictions attached.

LA Rams (-4) Over New Orleans Saints
The Rams and Saints will be equally desperate to improve on their respective 7-7 records, as a loss would seriously dent the legitimate playoff aspirations for both franchises. Matthew Stafford has been in high stakes matchups before. And with his 2022 Super Bowl ring as proof, he often comes out on top. The Saints have scraped their way to 7 wins this season, but they will fall back under .500 in their Week 16 loss to the Rams. Rams 24, Saints 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5) Over Cincinnati Bengals
Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are in danger of finishing below .500 for the first time in Tomlin’s 18-year career with Pittsburgh, and there is no doubt that there is extra motivation to keep that streak alive. As soon as we count them out, the Steelers have found ways to win football games all season long. Jake Browning is due for a letdown game, and Pittsburgh will be the beneficiary when he inevitably falls back down to earth. In a classic AFC North battle, the Steelers will overcome the odds and secure the outright victory. Steelers 19, Bengals 16
LA Chargers (+11) Over Buffalo Bills
The Chargers are a dumpster fire, having fired their coach and riding with Easton Stick at QB for what will likely be the remainder of the season. However, their defense is just good enough to keep this one within the spread. The Bills have survived a daunting gauntlet of Super Bowl contenders, and will have to be careful not to take this one lightly against a weak Chargers team. While So-Fi Stadium will be filled with the Bills Mafia in Week 16, a backdoor cover will send the spread bettors home with a bittersweet Bills victory. Bills 24, Chargers 14
Houston Texans (+2.5) Over Cleveland Browns
The Texans have seen 7 of their last 8 games finish within 5 points, and they’ll be in store for another close battle with the Cleveland Browns, CJ Stroud should be ready to go, and the reintroduction of their starlet signal caller will spur them to a much-needed victory. Texans 24, Browns 21
Detroit Lions (-3) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Lions have the opportunity to clinch their first ever NFC North title on the home turf of the defending champions, and they will not waste that chance. Jared Goff threw for 5 touchdowns in Week 15, as the former number 1 overall pick has led the Lions to a solid season. The Vikings may have been able to put a few extra wins on the board with Joshu Dobbs. However, when Nick Mullens takes the helm against the Lions, there will not be another Cinderella story in Minnesota. Lions by however many they want. Lions 31, Vikings 10
Carolina Panthers (+5) Over Green Bay Packers
The Panthers have no reason to tank, having already traded their first-round pick to acquire Bryce Young. And after tasting victory for the second time this season in Week 15, they’ll fight tooth and nail to make it back-to-back wins. I expect Jordan Love and the Packers to find a way to win, but I will not be laying 5 points on the road with the Packers, regardless of their opposition. The Packers will win, but it won’t do much for their confidence when it comes via last-second field goal. Packers 17, Panthers 14
Indianapolis Colts (-1.5) Over Atlanta Falcons
The Colts have been rolling, winning 5 of their last 6 games with Gardner Minshew under center, and they will take advantage of a reeling Falcons unit coming off a loss to the lowly Panthers. The Colts have gone 5-2 on the road so far this season. And with a minimal spread, I struggle to see the Falcons run game keeping this one close. There is new life in Indianapolis, and a Week 16 win would go a long way in their quest for their first playoff appearance since 2020. Colts 24, Falcons 15
Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) Over Tennessee Titans
The Seahawks got a massive win over the Eagles on Monday Night, and they’ll use that momentum to take advantage of a weak Titans pass defense. Whether it’s Drew Lock or Geno Smith under center, the Seahawks have the talent, and motivation advantages, over the Titans in Week 16. Seahawks 24, Titans 17
Washington Commanders (+3) Over New York Jets
There isn’t much on the line in this one, and it’s probably advantageous for both teams' futures to lose this one entirely. However, in the first season under new management, the Commanders roster is far from locked in. And with their jobs on the line, Washington will find a way to keep this one close. A half decent offense will be able to outduel a lackluster Jets offensive unit spearheaded by Zach Wilson, and it won’t take many points to come out on top in this one. Commanders 13, Jets 10
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
The Buccaneers have been an afterthought for most of this season. However, sitting atop the NFC South standings with the prospect of facing a Trevor Lawrence-less Jaguars side, they face a great chance to re-insert themselves into relevancy. Baker Mayfield has some of the best pass protection in the league. And like many other NFL quarterbacks, when he has time to evaluate, and pick his open receivers, he usually gets the job done. Jacksonville’s perch atop the AFC South is more than precarious. However, without Lawrence, I struggle to see them keeping pace with Tampa Bay on the road. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27, Jaguars 13
Chicago Bears (-4.5) Over Arizona Cardinals
If you find yourself watching this game on Christmas Eve, it may be time to re-evaluate your choices. However, the Bears should be able to swat aside the Cardinals, as they have the more complete, and polished, lineup. The Panthers are doing the tanking for Chicago, and the Bears organization will keep their troops battling, in order to evaluate their respective futures. Justin Fields has earned a spread like this against the lowly Cardinals, and they’ll get the win and cover in the basement bowl. Bears 20, Cardinals 10
Dallas Cowboys (+1.5) Over Miami Dolphins
The Cowboys have been a suboptimal road team, but the Dolphins have consistently struggled against solid opposition. One of those two trends will be snapped in Week 16, and I trust Dak Prescott and the Cowboys to take advantage of a compromised Tyreek Hill. Miami crumbles when faced with adversity, and a complete Cowboys lineup will give them a healthy dose of just that in Miami. Cowboys 31, Dolphins 27
Denver Broncos (-6.5) Over New England Patriots
There is no end in sight regarding the misery piled onto a once buoyant Patriots franchise, and the Broncos, who have legitimate playoff hopes, will pile more on in Week 16. Denver is at home and will be eager to wash the taste of defeat out of their mouths. An extra day of rest for the healthier team will result in an easy win and a nervy cover for Russell Wilson and the Broncos. Broncos 17, Patriots 6
Kansas City Chiefs (-10) Over Las Vegas Raiders
Do not be fooled by the 63 points dropped on the Chargers last week by the Raiders, they are still a much inferior team compared to the reigning champions. The Chiefs are jostling for playoff seeding in the final weeks. And with the Broncos keeping things interesting in the AFC West, they will not relent against Las Vegas in Week 16. The Kansas offense has been a shadow of their former selves, but a generous Raiders defense will help them get back on track. Chiefs 28, Raiders 14
New York Giants (+11.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
What have we seen from the Eagles to warrant a mammoth spread against a hungry Giants team? Brian Daboll will have his men playing at maximum effort, regardless of the scoreline, and the cover will always be in reach for the G-Men. Jalen Hurts lost 3 games over his last 35 starts prior to the active 3-game losing skid. And while I expect Philly to get back on track, it will be far from convincing. Eagles 20, Giants 17
Baltimore Ravens (+5.5) Over San Francisco 49ers
We have saved the best for last, as a faceoff between the respective conference leaders rounds out Week 16 on Monday. The 49ers are truly a force to be reckoned with. However, in a battle of two of the best defenses in the league, they will be unable to get the cover. Lamar Jackson is on a mission to secure home field advantage throughout the postseason. And while I expect the Ravens to fall short, they won’t be going down without a fight, allowing them to cover the margin. 49ers 17, Ravens 14
