NFL Office Pool Picks Week 12 - Every Game Picked ATS!
There are just 7 weeks to go in the regular season, and time is running out to climb up the office pool standings. Last week, we went 8-6 against the spread, moving our season record to 85-75-4. If you’ve been tailing this column, there is no doubt you are among the top of your office pool, and now is not the time to take our foot off the gas. Favorites went 10-3 straight up, and 7-6 ATS in Week 11, in what was one of the more predictable NFL weeks. There are plenty of short and wide spreads in a tricky Week 12, and here’s the office pool picks for what will be looked back at as one of the most critical weeks of the season.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Detroit Lions (-7.5) Over Green Bay Packers
The Lions have gotten off to an 8-2 start, their best since 1962. The historic tradition of Detroit playing on Thanksgiving continues, and it’s only fitting that they swat aside the lowly Green Bay Packers in Week 12. The Packers 4 wins have come against the Chargers, Rams, Saints, and Bears, none of which are on the Lions level. Detroit flexes their muscles on both sides of the ball in an increasingly one-sided victory. Lions 28, Packers 16
Washington Commanders (+12) Over Dallas Cowboys
The Commanders may have effectively kissed any playoff hopes goodbye with their Week 11 loss to the Giants, but they have still been playing solid football. Aside from the turnovers, this is a much more even matchup than this spread suggests. If Sam Howell can limit the interceptions, these two teams will go shot for shot in an instant classic on Thanksgiving. Cowboys 31, Commanders 27
Seattle Seahawks (+7) Over San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks are at home, catching a full touchdown in the betting markets. While the 49ers are undoubtedly the better team, in this divisional matchup, Seattle will be able to keep it close. A healthy 49ers offense will run riot over a generous Seattle secondary, but Geno Smith will play backdoor cover hero as the Seahawks get within the margin in the final few minutes of the game. 49ers 24, Seahawks 20
Miami Dolphins (-10) Over New York Jets
This is a great opportunity for the Miami defense to show they mean business. There are no doubts surrounding their offense, as Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill have been on fire. And if the Miami defense can shut down Brian Doyle and the lackluster Jets offense, they will have a bit of momentum heading into the final weeks of the season. New York is an absolute mess, and it’s unlikely they’ll be able to find the end zone with their carousel of mediocre quarterbacks. Dolphins 31, Jets 9
Carolina Panthers (+3.5) Over Tennessee Titans
This is a short spread for the Carolina Panthers, but I anticipate their second win of the season. Bryce Young has been showing flashes of life, and there is no reason to tank for Carolina as they've traded away their first-round draft selection. The Titans have several issues on both sides of the ball and can’t be getting more than a field goal regardless of the opposition. Panthers 20, Titans 19
Houston Texans (+1.5) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
This is a massive matchup at the top of the AFC South, and the winner of this game could certainly be the eventual winner of the division. CJ Stroud and Trevor Lawrence will go toe-to-toe as two of the best quarterbacks of the next generation, and Stroud will improve to 2-0 over the Clemson product. Houston keeps finding ways to win games with Stroud’s heroics. And at home in the biggest game of their season, they will find a way to grind this one out once again. Texans 30, Jaguars 27
New York Giants (+3) Over New England Patriots
The Giants may not be charging up the standings, but I can’t imagine a world where the Patriots are 3-point favorites on the road. Mac Jones has been an absolute disaster this season, and a once formidable Patriots defense has shown cracks in recent weeks. Tommy DeVito throws for two touchdowns, as the Giants win outright in one of my most confident picks of the week. Giants 21, Patriots 10
Atlanta Falcons (PK) Over New Orleans Saints
The Falcons need to unleash the full potential of Bijan Robinson, and if they do so they will find joy against the Saints. In a pivotal matchup at the top of the NFC South, the Falcons have the tools to get a home victory. Derek Carr has been unreliable at signal caller for the Saints, while Taylor Heinicke plays with his heart on his sleeve on a weekly basis. Grit, determination and a last-minute field goal from Younghoe Koo gets the Falcons over the line. Falcons 19, Saints 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (-1) Over Cincinnati Bengals
There is no chance Jake Browning carves up a dangerous Steelers defense. And with OC Matt Canada relieved of his duties, the Steelers offense will get a serious lift in this matchup. Pittsburgh hasn’t secured a double-digit win yet this season, but they finally win in convincing fashion against the reeling Bengals. Kenny Pickett has the game of his career, keeping Pittsburgh in an AFC Wild Card spot heading into Week 13. Steelers 27, Bengals 10
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2.5) Over Indianapolis Colts
Baker Mayfield and a consistent offensive line will find success against an identity-less Colts franchise. Gardner Minshew has filled in admirably for Anthony Richardson, but the ‘Michew magic’ has begun to wear off in Indianapolis. And without a solid defense to back up his errors, Mayfield will do enough to get Tampa Bay a valuable victory. Buccaneers 27, Colts 24
Denver Broncos (-2.5) Over Cleveland Browns
Russell Wilson has silenced his haters, leading the Broncos to 4 straight wins. Denver is still on the outside looking in regarding the AFC playoff race, but a 5th straight victory will have them confident they can find themselves in a Wild Card spot at the season’s end. DeShaun Watson is out for the rest of the season, as we’ll be forced to see one of the greatest defenses of the decade look helpless without a competent offense. Touchdowns over field goals will be the difference for Denver. Broncos 17, Browns 12
Arizona Cardinals (PK) Over LA Rams
Kyler Murray’s return has sparked life in the Cardinals offense. And when they come up against a Cooper Kupp-less LA Rams, they'll secure their 3rd win of the season. The Rams went all in to secure the 2022 Super Bowl, and their now depleted roster will slowly disintegrate in the latter stages of this season. The Cardinals may not have much to play for, but Murray and their other offensive pieces will be looking to secure their job in Arizona for years to come. It’s not quite time for the Cardinals to throw in the towel. Cardinals 24, Rams 21
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) Over Buffalo Bills
We just watched the Eagles stroll into the defending champions home and win outright on Monday Night Football. Now the inconsistent Josh Allen and the Bills come to town, yet they are only 3-point favorites. The Eagles have been nothing short of dominant since Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni took over, and that won’t be changing in Week 12. The Bills have failed to live up to expectations, while the Eagles have consistently surpassed them. I’ll need way more points before considering fading the Eagles at home. Eagles 28, Bills 20
Kansas City Chiefs (-9) Over Las Vegas Raiders
An angry Patrick Mahomes will get back on track against the weak Raiders defense, covering this large spread in the process. The Raiders magical new coach aura has faded away, and they are back to the harsh reality of being a mediocre NFL franchise. The Chiefs have dominated the AFC West since Mahomes’ arrival, and Kansas City will make it look easy with a 20+ point win in Week 12. Chiefs 37, Raiders 14
LA Chargers (+3.5) Over Baltimore Ravens
The Chargers consistently shoot themselves in the foot, but they are still a solid football team catching over a field goal at home. Mark Andrews was a big part of the Ravens offense, and his loss will be felt in Week 12. I expect Baltimore to eventually pull out a victory, but it won’t be by a wide margin. Justin Herbert continues to put the team on his back, yet falls just short once again. Chargers lose but get the cover. Ravens 25, Chargers 24
Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) Over Chicago Bears
Were it not for some questionable late game calls, Joshua Dobbs would be sitting with a 3-0 record in Minnesota. The imminent return of Justin Jefferson will lift the Vikings offense, and they will not be eager to throw away their 7th place seed in the NFC. The ‘Passtronaut’ finds the end zone both with his arm and legs, as the Vikings walk away with a convincing win over the lowly Bears on Monday Night Football. Vikings 27, Bears 17
