Fanatics Retail Sportsbook Fits Well Into FedEx Field
Washington, DC has an assortment of retail sportsbooks in the area, including BetMGM at Nationals Park, Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena, and FanDuel at Audi Field. The Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field in nearby Summerfield, Maryland, is the latest retail sports betting location in the whole DC area.
Caesars Sportsbook is the largest retail sports betting facility at 18,000 square feet. The book features two floors and an expansive dining area with plenty of seating. BetMGM and FanDuel are also right in the city’s landscape. However, Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field is the first retail sports betting center inside an NFL stadium.

Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field
Fanatics Sportsbook is a 5,000 square-foot facility with eight betting windows, 27 sports betting kiosks, 38 TV monitors and two LED video walls. The venue has a full-service restaurant and a team store. The store is located alongside the sportsbook, giving customers the opportunity to buy team gear.
Chief Business Officer of Fanatics Betting and Game Ari Borod commented:
“Our first retail location, with adjacency to the Commanders Team store, is a physical representation of what Fanatics will deliver to sports fans all over North America. We are rolling out our platform first at retail and we will have more exciting news to share in the coming months as we bring to market new mobile technology designed to improve the betting experience for sports fans.”
Fanatics Sportsbook gives sports fans and bettors a more relaxed and intimate setting for watching the games. NFL rules do not allow bets to be placed in the facility during the Washington Commanders home games, but other sports games and sporting events are allowed.
The retail location will be open during the Commanders’ road games as an attraction in the season. The Fanatics’ hours are 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. (ET) daily year-round. The connection with the Commanders will build excitement, but the Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field is a full-time destination.
Washington Commanders Team President Jason Wright said in a press release:
“When our journey began over two years ago, we knew we had to reinvigorate the guest experience at FedEx Field and open the campus to the community. Today is a special moment in realizing that vision as we open this innovative sportsbook operating seven days a week for sports fans throughout our community.”
Washington, DC Sports Betting Environment
Maryland’s retail sports betting market is growing with five casinos having retail sportsbooks and another five retail locations with sports betting facilities. Washington, DC has retail sportsbooks at professional sports stadiums and arena. Virginia’s retail sports betting is just getting started with existing online mobile betting apps.
FanDuel Sportsbook at Audi Field has a location with a field view. The sportsbook is only 2,550 square feet, but FanDuel is the happening spot on DC United game days. BetMGM has a 4,000 square-foot space at Nationals Park, and it is a great place to watch a Nationals’ game.
Other than betting on the Commanders’ home game, Fanatics Sportsbook at FedEx Field is another good way to bet on sports in a retail sitting.
