Bet365 Sportsbook Launches in Arizona

With a partnership of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, bet365 has launched a retail and online sportsbook in Arizona. Bet365 is the 17th legal sports betting site in the state as the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) recently announced that the sportsbook was awarded an event wagering operator’s license.

Back in 2021, 10 sports betting permits were reserved for gaming tribes and 10 permits were reserved for the state’s sports organizations. Arizona has a dozen retail locations placing sports wagers, including FanDuel Sportsbook. The top sports betting operator has a retail sportsbook inside the Footprint Center, home to the Phoenix Suns (NBA) and Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) as professional basketball teams.

Bbet365 Sportsbook has steadily grown its presence in the legal US market. Along with Arizona, bet365 has gone live in Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. Bet365 Arizona mobile betting app will be launched in the near future with college football and the NFL seasons in full swing.  

The application window for Arizona’s sports betting was initiated on Aug. 1 and ran through Aug. 15 this year. The ADG has granted one license to bet365, but there are three more licenses to fill out the quota of 20 sports betting operators. Bet365 Sportsbook gains access to the Arizona sports betting marketplace through its partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian gaming tribe, which is located in the southwestern area of the state.

Arizona’s Sports Betting Market

Arizona is a major sports betting market with ranking in the top 10 states with legal sportsbooks. In the most recent reports by the ADG, Arizona reported $393,198,857.89 in total monthly revenue (June 2023). In the fall because of football, the overall sports betting handle and sportsbooks’ revenue are the highest in the season.

Officially starting in September of 2021, Arizona’s sports betting fans have supported both retail and online sportsbooks in the state.
