We are now coming close to the end of the NFL regular season. And with that means that your survivor pools are starting to slowly finish, and a champion is declared. I will continue to give you my best survivor selections through Week 18 of the season. However, by now, without using the garbage teams like Detroit or Houston, it’ll be tough to find teams you haven’t already used that you can trust. The selections moving forward will likely serve more as office pool picks but only to win straight up instead of against the spread, or for use in any sort of moneyline parlay you are thinking of putting in. As always, my selection is listed first.

Week 14 Survivor Selections

Pittsburgh Steelers over Minnesota Vikings: I will side with the team with the better defense and some momentum in this contest. The Steelers somehow snuck away with a win last week, while the Vikings gave the Lions their first win. I don’t see Minnesota bouncing back after that devastating loss.

Cleveland Browns over Baltimore Ravens: I’m playing the revenge factor here. Cleveland has had two weeks to stew over the 16-10 loss, and I think the prep, rest and anger will serve them well here. The Ravens always find ways to lose games, and I think Cleveland gets the win here.

Dallas Cowboys over Washington Football Team: Bad spot for the Football Team. They flew across the country to beat the Raiders now come back home to play the Cowboys, who have had extra prep time for this one. I think Dallas puts up 35+ points in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs over Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders stink and the Chiefs have won five straight. Make it six after this week’s win.

Houston Texans over Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks should not be -8-point favorites over anyone. I know I’m picking the Texans straight up, but I don’t see the Seahawks playing nearly as well as they did last week at home against a division foe.

Tennessee Titans over Jacksonville Jaguars: The Titans have been in a freefall ever since Derrick Henry went out with his injury. However, I do think they are primed for a big game against a Jags team that is just going through the motions and would be best served losing out so solidify a top-three draft pick.

New Orleans Saints over New York Jets: I know the Saints are the worst we’ve seen them in years, but I think they are better than the Jets, and I think they are going to snap out of their five-game losing streak in a big way here. If the Jets know what’s good for them, they will lose out and secure as high a draft pick as possible.

Denver Broncos over Detroit Lions: I don’t think the Lions will win this game, which is why I only took them on the spread in my office pool picks. However, the Broncos should not be eight-point favorites over anyone, but I think their defense will get them the win in this contest.

Los Angeles Chargers over New York Giants: This is a tough scheduling spot for the Chargers. They come home after playing a physical game on the East Coast and now will be without Keenan Allen, who is out with Covid. I think the Giants will stay within the spread, but the Chargers will find a way to win a close one.

Cincinnati Bengals over San Francisco 49ers: I don’t trust either of these teams, so let’s bury them down near the bottom of the list. If I had to pick, I’ll take the home side, because San Fran and travel don’t mix well.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Buffalo Bills: Give me the home side in this one as the Bucs simply have too many weapons for the Bills to handle. The Bills are coming off an ugly Monday night game vs the Pats and they likely won’t know what hit them in this one.

Green Bay Packers over Chicago Bears: Aaron Rodgers or Andy Dalton? Don’t overthink this one. Packers win by double digits.

Los Angeles Rams over Arizona Cardinals: Both teams are coming off wins, and the Cardinals do have the better defense, but I think Stafford provides more stability when the going gets tough than does Murray. I’ll take the road underdog in this contest.
