NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 13: Advice and Predictions
If you’ve reached this point in the season and you’re still going strong in a Survivor Pool or Last Man Standing competition, I tip my cap to you. Not many people can correctly predict the winner of a single game 12 weeks in a row, but yet here you are, going strong and ready to take home the title. By now, I’m assuming all of the “good teams” have been used up. It’s time to start taking some risks and trusting the “middle tier” teams to help you win some money. This week, there are several good spots for those “middle tier” to put in work and help us survive another week. Good luck with whatever option you choose, but here are my survivor plays ranked from strongest to weakest for Week 13 of the National Football League Season. The team I list first is my selection.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Miami Dolphins over New York Giants: Miami has some momentum on their side, having just won their fourth straight game. Both teams are still on the outside of the playoffs looking in. However, with Mike Glennon set to start for the Giants, the Fins should do enough to win this game.
Las Vegas Raiders over Washington Football Team: I love the Football Team for cashing my ticket on Monday vs the Seahawks, but the Raiders are due for a big home performance. They beat a good Dallas team on Thursday. And with the extra prep, I see them coming out and dominating this game.
Philadelphia Eagles over New York Jets: I liked the Jets last week against the Texans, and they rewarded me. I liked the Eagles last week against the Giants, and they let me down. So, naturally, I’m backing the Eagles once more because I don’t see the Jets winning two straight.
Arizona Cardinals over Chicago Bears: The Bears beat the Lions on Thursday, while the Cardinals were resting on their bye week. It has been talked about in spades this year how teams out of a bye are sluggish and play like dirt. I don’t think the Cards will fall victim to that trap against a bad Bears team.
Dallas Cowboys over New Orleans Saints: Both teams enter this contest off a loss on Thanksgiving, but you shouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on the Cowboys in this one. Their offense is elite, and I don’t see the Saints doing anything to keep pace in this one.
Indianapolis Colts over Houston Texans: No bet against the Texans is a bad bet.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Atlanta Falcons: There are still people in this world who bet against Tom Brady. I, for one, have learned my lesson the hard way and am now fully aboard the bandwagon. Atlanta does not stand a chance in this contest if the Bucs show up and aren’t caught looking ahead to the Bills next week.
San Francisco 49ers over Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks are done. They have nothing left to play for except for being a spoiler, but I don’t see them spoiling the Niners’ quest to reach the playoffs. San Francisco is better on both sides of the ball, and I see them winning this game with ease.
Los Angeles Chargers over Cincinnati Bengals: Just when the Chargers gain some momentum, they go and lose to the Broncos, of all teams. The Bengals have won two straight against the Raiders and Steelers, but I trust the Chargers’ defense more in this one.
Los Angeles Rams over Jacksonville Jaguars: Urban Meyer is on record of saying that his wide receivers still don’t know proper routes, distances or spacing. Let me remind everyone that it’s Week 13…not Week 2. Rams desperately need a win, and I think they get it here.
Baltimore Ravens over Pittsburgh Steelers: One team is 8-3, the other is 5-5-1, yet I still don’t think Baltimore is that much better than the Steelers, and that’s saying something. Both teams have issues, but the Ravens have fewer of them. Give me the Ravens.
Kansas City Chiefs over Denver Broncos: The Broncos played well last week to beat the Chargers, but now they are playing in prime time against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are heating up, having won four straight, and I don’t believe that winning streak ends this week.
Buffalo Bills over New England Patriots: Speaking of on a roll, the Patriots have won six straight and have given up a total of 26 points over their last FOUR games. However, homefield is going to play a huge role in this one, and I see Buffalo pulling out the win late in the game.
