Caesars Sportsbook Sets the Standard for Team Partnership Promotions
The US sports betting industry has quickly grown to become a highly competitive marketplace. The top three mobile sports betting operators (FanDuel, DraftKings & BetMGM) currently control more than 80% of the market.
However, other operators with deep pockets such as Caesars Sportsbook and WynnBET still have the ability to make some major inroads into both existing and new markets as they go live. Of the two, Caesars has already set the precedent as one of the top deal makers in the industry.

Earlier this year, Caesars signed a long-term deal for the naming rights of the Louisiana Superdome as the home of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints. The company also became the primary sponsor of college football’s Fiesta Bowl as one of the top postseason bowl games.
Along the way, Caesars Sportsbook continues to form strategic partnerships with individual teams. This covers the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and the NCAA as the biggest entities for sports betting in the US marketplace as well as on a global scale.
Taking these sponsorships to a whole new level, Caesars Sportsbook as started to offer customized sports betting promotions in conjunction with its various team partners.
Recently, the company announced plans to offer a first-of-its-kind promotion for Indianapolis Colts’ season ticket holders. They can actually receive a $500 discount on the price of those tickets for opening a Caesars Sportsbook online betting account.
This is definitely a new twist on any US sportsbook’s efforts towards new customer acquisitions. Chris Holden is the co-president of Caesars Digital. He released the following company statement in conjunction with this promotional offer:
“Sports bettors deserve promos and offers that treat them like royalty. Our partnership with the Colts enables us to deliver on that promise and continue to reward loyal Colts’ fans.”
This promotion is tied to any bettor in Indiana who purchases or renews their Indianapolis Colts’ season ticket package for the 2022 NFL season. Each participant will need to buy at least two tickets for all the Colts’ home games.
Once this requirement has been met, they must open a Caesars Sportsbook online betting account by downloading the mobile betting app. The only other requirement is placing an actual wager of at least $50.
One big caveat to this offer is that it is only available to new Caesars’ customers. To address this issue, the company has plans to introduce other incentive offers and promotions to existing customers that also happen to have Colts’ season tickets.
Indiana has quickly grown into one of the bigger markets in the US for legal sports betting. The total betting handle this past October was $461.1 million. Caesars alone took in $63.8 million in sports bets that month.
Caesars is the No. 1 sportsbook operator in the state according to market share. However, through innovative promotional programs like the one with the Colts, the company must obviously see even more room for growth in the Hoosier State.
Crossover marketing opportunities also exist with Caesars owning and operating three land-based casinos, three off-track betting facilities for horse racing and other retail sportsbook venues throughout Indiana.
On a national scale, Caesars is also throwing down the gauntlet as one of the most innovative sportsbook operators in that crowded US marketplace. The ability to create a significant point of difference from the competition will become even more important as the marketplace continues to expand.
The bold commitment of Caesars Entertainment, as a casino gaming giant, to the sports betting industry will continue to pay dividends as a true promotional innovator.
