If you’ve missed my content earlier in the week surrounding the Week 4 Survivor Pool picks or Week 4 office pool picks, you will not know that I had a tremendous week last week in all facets. We hit our teaser in a big way, we went 14-2 with our straight-up selections and 12-4 against the spread with our office pool selections. It was a great week, yet I am still not satisfied. I have been hard at work since the Sunday night game ended, and I’m excited about replicating that success in Week 4. Anyone can get hot for a week, but to do it on a consistent basis is what we all strive for. Let’s have a great Week 4.

As for last week’s result, we cashed with our Bills -2.5/Rams +7.5 teaser, and that brings our record to 2-0 on the season through three weeks. We also gave you three great alternative options to enter into the Basic Strategy Teaser, and two of them won (Arizona -1.5 and Minnesota +8), while one of them (Baltimore -2) was a push. Let’s continue to exploit the books by betting this way and make some money in Week 4.

Best Six-Point Teaser for Week 4.

New Orleans Saints -1.5 & Tampa Bay -1.5 (-120) 
Risk: $120 to win $100

Since it’s just Week 4, let me take a second to explain these spreads. The New Orleans Saints 7.5-point favorites against the New York Giants. By using a six-point teaser, you will bring that spread down to 1.5 points, meaning the Saints would need to just win the game by two points. As for the Bucs, they are 7.5-point favorites against the Patriots, and teasing them upwards will get you through the key numbers of seven and three and make them 1.5-point favorites.  

There are very few times in life where a gift is handed to you and you’re just not sure what to do with it. This is one of those instances. The Saints are likely going to be one of the highest teams picked in survivor pools around the country, and they will absolutely win this game. Vegas has set this line up in a very precarious way as they know the Saints will be used in teasers as well. And as they sit at -7.5 right now, teasing them down as we are doing all but ensures us that the Saints just need to win the game in order for us to cover. Does Vegas know something we don’t about the mindset or future play of these two teams on Sunday? The Saints are the better team by a mile and at home, and they should be able to easily beat the Giants. The Giants are depleted on offense, and the defense leaves a lot to be desired. They have a bozo head coach and a QB that is turnover-prone. That is not the recipe to win games in the National Football League. The Saints have one of the best players in the league in Kamara, and Winston has shown through three games that he’s got what it takes to play QB at a high level. This is a no-brainer. Sometimes these are the scariest picks, but I will trust my first instinct on this one.

As for the Buccaneers, do you really think that the Bucs are going to allow Tom Brady to return to Foxboro and lose a football game? I highly, highly doubt that, and this is another line that is a head-scratcher because the Bucs will be in almost every teaser played across the country. The Bucs’ defense will need to play better than it has through three games this year, but the Patriots’ offense just doesn’t have the “it” factor anymore and they struggle to score points consistently. This is a good game for the Bucs’ defense to find their groove and limit the Patriots to a low score. As for the offense, will it’s in good shape with Brady at the helm, and we see them putting up a big number in Brady’s return to Foxboro just to stick it to Bill Belichick.

Alternative Options

Atlanta Falcons +1.5 over Washington Football Team: The Falcons are small underdogs on their home soil this week. And while we don’t really trust them to win the game outright, I don’t see them getting blown out by a Washington team that has struggled over the last two weeks (despite going 1-1). I’ll trust Matt Ryan and Calvin Ridley to put up enough points at home to keep this game close right down to the wire.
