NFL Confidence Pool Picks Week 12

The NFL’s Thanksgiving weekend already started some drama with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers game scheduled for Thursday being moved to Sunday. Currently, we’ll only have two games on the Thursday NFL slate without a night game that would’ve featured an intense rivalry game. As long as we still get the game on Sunday, most NFL fans can’t complain.
Every week I give you my favorite to least favorite games according to my confidence in the pick. Remember, all picks will be picked without using the spread. I look forward to giving you the best chance to win your NFL Confidence pool each week and throughout the entirety of the 2020-21 season.
Week 12 Confidence List (Most Confidence to Least Confidence)
49ers vs Rams: The Rams are the most balanced team in the NFL. This team has a mastermind on offense in coach Sean McVay and a defense that has quality names that continues to perform day in and day out. The Rams surprised the Seahawks, Buccaneers and now get a worse opponent in the 49ers, because that entire team is injured. Take the Rams
Texans vs Lions: After watching the Texans against the Patriots, you could see the offense starting to take shape. Randall Cobb won’t be playing, but Watson will have time in the pocket against a poor coverage team in the Lions. Expect another big day for Texans. They’ll make a win streak. Take the Texans.
Washington vs Cowboys: The Cowboys scored 31 points under Andy Dalton and actually looked like a normal offense again. We know Washington has looked good on defense. However, if Dalton can put up anywhere around the 20s, the Cowboys will escape this one and potentially be back in first place. Take the Cowboys.
Raiders vs Falcons: The Falcons are very inconsistent, but that Raiders defense is very consistent. It’s consistently bad. However, the Raiders offense, led by Derek Carr, is a difference maker. He has tons of weapons on that offense and can score plenty of points on a given day. That’s enough for me. Take the Raiders.
Giants vs Bengals: The Giants are looking to continue their two-game winning streak. With a win, they could be in first place in the NFC East. Meanwhile, Brendan Allen will start for the Bengals, which doesn’t excite anymore. Take the Giants.
Cardinals vs Patriots: The Cardinals have shown consistency in the passing game and rushing the football. The Patriots haven’t. And after a loss to the Texans, with terrible defense played by the secondary, it’s apparent that the Patriots just aren’t what we expected them to be this season, especially on defense. Take the Cardinals.
Dolphins vs Jets: The Jets should bench Sam Darnold for the rest of the season. There’s no point in trying anymore. Take the 0-16 season and start over. The Dolphins started over this season and now are in playoff contention. The Dolphins will show the Jets how it’s done. It starts by hiring a new coach, like Brian Flores. Take the Dolphins.
Bears vs Packers The Bears offense was so bad to start the season that Mitch Trubisky was benched. Now reports say that he’ll be starting in place of an injured Nick Foles. Good luck going up against Aaron Rodgers and his offense. Take the Packers.
Seahawks vs Eagles: The Seahawks seem to be getting better in every area as the season progresses. Meanwhile, the Eagles have not looked good. Carson Wentz continues to make silly errors, and the defense isn't getting many stops. That won’t change against the Seahawks offense. Take the Seahawks.
Browns vs Jaguars: Until Gardner Minshew is ready to return, the Jaguars have no chance. The Browns should enjoy a fantastic game plan of rushing the ball with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. That’ll win them the ball game. Take the Browns.
Ravens vs Steelers: At this point, the Ravens have a COVID issue and we really don’t know who will be able to play and who won’t be. But what we do know is that the Ravens defense is struggling and the Steelers are cruising. They’re also undefeated and beat the Ravens earlier this year. Take the Steelers.
Chargers vs Bills: This game should be an exciting one. Justin Herbert will win the Rookie of the Year award for his fantastic play, but he’s lost so many games by one score. The Bills offense is hard to stop, and any mistakes Herbert makes will backfire. Take the Bills.
Titans vs Colts: I love these divisional rivalries. This game is big one. The Titans have won so many close games, yet the Colts have shown that they can win tight games, too, after beating the Packers in overtime. The Colts have been able to stop the run for the most part, which I think will be the difference in this game. Take the Colts.
Panthers vs Vikings: The Vikings have been very good offensively, but the defense has struggled lately. With the Panthers expecting Teddy Bridgewater back, the offense should be up and running again. On the other hand, the Vikings offense matches up so well against the Panthers defense that it’s hard to bet against that. Take the Vikings.
Saints vs Broncos: Taysom Hill had doubters when he was named the starting quarterback. Nobody is doubting him now after a solid victory against the Falcons. He’ll start in at quarterback. And knowing he has Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara in the game plan gives me no worries. Take the Saints.
Chiefs vs Buccaneers: I respect the Buccaneers defense, but Tom Brady needs to figure out the offense and figure it out fast. This team has way too many weapons to be struggling. After watching the Raiders last week, I like the Bucs to get back on track offensively and win this game through solid defense all around. Take the Buccaneers.
