Free NBA Picks Wednesday 8/26/2020 and Opening Line Report
Wednesday’s slate can decide two conference matchup’s in one day. The Bucks need one more win to advance over the Magic, while the Lakers need one more to move on against the Blazers. Meanwhile, the Thunder and Rockets are tied at two apiece and will fight for that third win in the potentially seven game series. Here are the leans for NBA’s playoff action on Wednesday.
Magic vs Bucks 8/26/20 (-14, 226.5)
After an embarrassing Game 1 of the conference quarterfinals, the Milwaukee Bucks have looked sharp in their last three games to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. The Bucks have been much better defensively and are making nearly 48 percent of their shots in this series. The Magic are without Aaron Gordon and have really struggled to stick around against the Bucks late in games. The Magic are competing and playing hard. They just don’t have the talent that the Bucks do. The Bucks will ultimately pull away in this one too. The Magic are deflated and defeated.
Key trends: Bucks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Conference Quarterfinals games.
Early lean: Bucks, Under
Thunder vs Rockets 8/26/20 (-2, 225.5)
The Thunder have tied up the series 2-2 after trailing two games to none early in the conference quarterfinals. Most expected this series to be competitive. However, after the first two games of the series, many discarded the Thunder, giving Oklahoma City no chance at winning this series. James Harden is currently without teammate Russell Westbrook and has a lot more responsibility in this series until Westbrook returns. The Thunder are shooting a higher percentage from the field than the Rockets, but the Rockets are averaging more points and less points allowed. When the Rockets are shooting well, they can’t be beat. They’ve won two blow outs and lost an overtime game and a three-point game, which was also close. The Rockets have played better this series and should squeak by in this one.
Key trends: Rockets are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Early lean: Rockets, Over
Trail Blazers vs Lakers 8/26/20 (-11, 227)
The Blazers were humiliated by the Lakers in their most recent game in the conference quarterfinals. Damian Lillard injured his knee and the Lakers continued to roll over the Blazers from the start of the game to the finish. When the Blazers won the first game of the series, many fans and media around the world believed in the Blazers hype and basically disrespected LeBron James. Since then, James and the Lakers have absolutely exploded and played terrific basketball, hitting at a much higher percentage and looking comfortable doing it. Lakers in five. Onto the next.
Key trends: Trail Blazers are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 playoff games as an underdog.
Early lean: Lakers, Under
