We’re getting closer to the NBA playoffs in the bubble. As we wait for the playoffs, many teams are beginning to rest starters and prepare for the postseason, making sure everyone is healthy. When betting these last few regular season games, make sure to look at injury reports or late scratches as they’re starting to come in fast. Here are Wednesday’s leans in the NBA. 

Pacers vs Rockets 8/12/20 (TBD, TBD)

The Rockets will be taking on the Pacers in a second game of a back-to-back. James Harden looks to be injured and might miss this game. However, Russell Westbrook is now back in the lineup. The Rockets won both games with Westbrook out, but it’ll be interesting to see how the Rockets fare with Harden out. T.J. Warren has been ridiculous in the bubble for the Pacers but scored just 12 points on 5 of 14 from the floor last time out. Is the Warren show finished? Or will he get back on track against the Rockets? The Pacers have losses to the Suns and Heat, two teams that have been great in the bubble. The Rockets have dominated against the spread, too. If Pacers struggle to score, there’s no way they keep up with the Rockets. However, with Harden out, that changes a lot.

Raptors vs 76ers 8/12/20 (TBD, TBD)

The 76ers are going to be without Ben Simmons and likely Joel Embiid. Josh Richardson will need to step up in a big way. The Raptors have some injury concerns of their own with Fred VanVleet, Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowery all questionable for this game. Make sure to look at starting lineups before betting on this game as that can change viewpoints depending on who is in and who is out. At the end of the day, the Raptors have been much more consistent as a team and should find a way to beat the depleted 76ers with the depth the team has.

Key trends: Raptors are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

Heat vs Thunder 8/12/20 (TBD, TBD)

The Miami Heat seem like the one team that has been able to stay healthy during this restart. The Thunder were missing five rotation players in their last game against the Suns and lost by 27. The Thunder, when healthy, will be a force. This team could upset in the first round and do damage. But until they’re healthy, this is Miami’s game to lose. They shut down the Pacers to 92 points and won 114-92, keeping Warren off balance.

Key trends: Heat are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

Early lean: Heat, Under

LA Clippers vs Denver Nuggets 8/12/20 (TBD, TBD)

The Nuggets will be without Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Will Baron and potentially without Jerami Grant, who has looked solid in the time he’s been on the court. Meanwhile, the Clippers were just embarrassed by the Brooklyn Nets, losing 129-120 to a team that is without basically their entire normal team. The Nuggets have kept their games close recently. They took a loss to the Lakers by three and won a double overtime game against the Jazz before that. The Clippers have seemed lackadaisical at times, but after a loss like that one to the Nets, you have to expect these guys to come prepared for this one, even if the game doesn’t mean much. 

Key trends: Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
