Kemba Walker Boston Celtics

We're another week into the NBA and the storylines are getting more intriguing daily. The Nets are visiting the Celtics and this was a spot where Kyrie Irving was supposed to return to TD Garden and dominate the Celtics. Kyrie's done for the year. The Clippers are playing the Thunder. Paul George will return to Chesapeake Energy Arena where there will be lots of boos in the crowd when he touches the ball. Then we've got the 76ers visiting the Lakers. Three of the four biggest stars in that game could be sidelined. Here are the early leans for March 3 in the NBA.

  Spurs vs. Hornets 3/3/20 (-1, 224)

The Spurs have won three of their last five games of the season after a home win over Orlando, 114-113. San Antonio has only won three of their last ten games but have won those three in their last five games. Two of those wins have also come on the road. They'll take on the Hornets who have been surprisingly good in their last three games. The Hornets are 2-1 in their last three games and lost to Milwaukee, 93-85. The Bucks were without Kris Middleton, but still, the Hornets stayed in the game. The Hornets have covered six of their last eight games. I'd take the Hornets at home in this match-up.

Key trends: Hornets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

Early lean: Hornets, Under

  Nets vs. Celtics 3/3/20 (-6.5, 226)

The Celtics dropped an overtime loss to the Rockets. If you think that's bad, look at the Nets last four games. It's a bunch of red L's. The Nets are now 26-33 on the season without Kyrie and Durant to help them out of their hole. Yet, the Nets are still more than likely a playoff team and could see Boston in the first round. Jayson Tatum has electrified Boston and is clearly becoming a bonafide star in the league. At home, against a Nets team that hasn't defended well as of late, take the Celtics in this one.

Early lean: Celtics, Over

  Timberwolves vs. Pelicans 3/3/20 (-12, 246.5)

Minnesota has won just two of their last ten games straight up this season. Their last four losses have come by double digits. All of that while the Pelicans are fighting for a playoff spot in the West, at home, with a bully in the middle named Zion Williamson. The Pelicans have destroyed bad competition since they've been healthy (outside of JJ Reddick). I like the Pelicans to win by double digits in this one.

Key trends: Pelicans are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.

Early lean: Pelicans, Over

  Clippers vs. Thunder 3/3/20 (+3.5, 225.5)

The entire Clippers team is healthy and now this team looks scary. The Clippers have won four straight games after defeating the 76ers at home 136-130. Philly won against the spread but the Clippers won straight up. The Thunder were on a four-game winning streak until Milwaukee dominated OKC, 133-86. The Thunder should get back on track as they head home where they've been much better. Still, the Thunder are a young team with just two veteran leaders. I like the Clippers at full strength anytime, anywhere.

Key trends: Clippers are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games.

Early lean: Clippers, Under

  Warriors vs. Nuggets 3/3/20 (-15, 216.5)

Steph Curry won't be returning to the lineup anytime soon. The Denver Nuggets have 41 wins on the season while the Warriors have just 13. Plus, the Nuggets are home. The Nuggets might start slow in the first half but they'll turn on the jets in the second half and win this one pretty easily. The Nuggets just defeated the Raptors, 133-118 at home and have won three straight games at home by double digits. This will absolutely be another Denver Nuggets double digit home victory.

Key trends: Nuggets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games.

Early lean: Nuggets, Over

  Raptors vs. Suns 3/3/20 (+5.5, 228)

Which Raptors team are we watching right now. Toronto is on a three-game losing streak and two of them have been by double digits. The Raptors have taken losses to Milwaukee and Denver but also the Hornets at home. The Suns have also lost three straight after destroying Utah, 131-111. This game is hard to pinpoint but the Raptors are a playoff team and the Suns are not. The Raptors should be able to hold the Suns defensively, even on the road, and get the road win. The Suns have not been good at home against the spread this season.

Key trends: Suns are 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 home games.

Early lean: Raptors, Under

  76ers vs. Lakers 3/3/20 (-13, 219)

By now you know to fade the 76ers on the road and bet them at home. Except, that didn't happen against the Clippers. The 76ers won against the spread against the mighty Clippers. However, playing back-to-back games at Staples Center against the two best teams in the West is tiring without your best players in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. The Lakers might be without Anthony Davis but that won't stop LeBron from putting up another monster performance. Take the Lakers at home.

Key trends: Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.

Early lean: Lakers, Over

  Wizards vs. Kings 3/3/20 (-5, 235)

Bradley Beal is averaging 30.4 points per game and was not an All-Star. I just thought I'd remind you. Washington has won two of their last three games behind Beal. This team has played much better as of late. In their last four games, the Wizards have an overtime loss, a 10-point loss and two wins. The Wizards are allowing teams to score 119.9 points per game this season but the Kings only average 108 points per game. Look for the Wizards to outscore the Wizards late in the fourth quarter to steal a win from the Kings. I like the Wizards in this match-up.

Key trends: Kings are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.
