Free NBA Picks Tuesday 2/4/2020 and Opening Line Report

The NBA slate for Tuesday features some intriguing matchups. We've got Giannis vs. Zion. That will be an interesting duel, while Dame Lillard looks to continue his hot streak against the Nuggets on the road. Furthermore, the Lakers will play their second game at home and hope to get past their emotions this time and get the win at the Staples Center. Here are the early leans for Tuesday's action.

Bucks vs. Pelicans 2/4/20 (+6.5, 244)

The Bucks are coming off a 21-point win over the Suns to finish off a long homestand. Now the Bucks and their 42-7 record will travel to take on Zion Williamson and the Pelicans. Giannis vs Zion. That's a fun battle. With Zion, the Pelicans are scoring a large amount of points. In order for the Pelicans to win though, they'll need to score near 120 points in this game. Against a Bucks defense, I'm not so sure they'll come close. Take the Bucks on the road.

Hornets vs. Rockets 2/4/20 (-14, 228)

The Hornets have been dreadful lately. 1-9 in their last ten games. Now they'll take on the Rockets on the road who have won three of their last four and are starting to play better. The Hornets lost to the Spurs, 114-90 on the road. This should be similar. The Hornets do not play well on the road at all and have lost their first two during the road trip.

Key trends: Hornets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.

Trail Blazers vs. Nuggets 2/4/20 (-5, 219)

Portland has won four straight games behind Dame Lillard. He's shooting at an absurd rate right now and literally nothing can stop him. He's banging three's from 35 feet out easily. You can't guard that! The Nuggets are coming off a loss to the Pistons in OT on the road too. As long as Lillard stays hot, you have to roll with the Blazers. It's been phenomenal to watch and what the Nuggets have been great at home, Lillard has been great all around especially in the last week or so.

Key trends: Trail Blazers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Early lean: Trail Blazers, Over

Spurs vs. Lakers 2/4/20 (-10.5, 227.5)

The Lakers will have to keep their emotions in check again, playing home, against the Spurs. The Lakers took a win over the Kings on Saturday but that was on the road. Playing at home is going to be a little different this season. The Lakers need to win a game at home before it starts to become a "thing" with the media. I expect the Lakers to take care of business although the Spurs have won two straight. Both of those games were at home. I wouldn't worry too much.

Key trends: Lakers are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.
