The NBA world is in a state of shock after Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, and seven other passengers passed away after a helicopter accident. For players, it's hard to play these games. For fans, it's hard to do their jobs without thinking about their childhood idol. But all we can do is say our condolences, hug our loved ones and continue to do what Kobe Bryant had done his entire life; work. The Clippers will take on the Lakers at Staples Center on Tuesday in the first home game since Kobe's death. PLEASE NOTE THIS GAME WAS CANCELLED This will be an absolute must watch, even on the east coast. Tickets are approaching $1000 for the cheapest seat in the building. Anyway, here are the early leans for Tuesday's action.

Knicks vs. Hornets 1/28/2020 (-1.5, 210)

Following Kobe Bryant's death, the Knicks took on the Nets at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks got the win, 110-97 and defeated the Nets, who were without Kyrie Irving, for personal reasons. The Knicks will take on a Hornets team that has lost eight straight games and last played in Paris. The Hornets got a much needed break but that could also mean rust. The Knicks' win couldn't a confidence booster moving forward. Take the Knicks while the Hornets struggle to win a game.

Warriors vs. 76ers 1/28/2020 (TBD, TBD)

Did you even think about this game? The 76ers are incredible at home this season, playing the worst team in the NBA at home. Blow out incoming. The Warriors have went 1-9 in their last ten games and the 76ers are coming off a big win at home against the Lakers.

Key trends: 76ers are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.

Pelicans vs. Cavaliers 1/28/2020 (+7, 233)

The Pelicans won their first game with Zion Williamson in the lineup. Zion scored 21 points and brought down 11 rebounds and the Pelicans beat the Celtics, 123-108. The Pelicans are becoming sneaky good and it's kind of fun to watch. A road game against the Cavs won't change anything. The Pelicans are playing great basketball while the Cavs have lost seven straight. It's a no brainer.

Hawks vs. Raptors 1/28/2020 (12.5, 233)

Trae Young played inspired after Kobe's passing. Young wore a new number eight jersey for the first minute of the game against the Wizards and scored 45 points and 14 assists on the night after the team scored 152 as a whole. Toronto has won seven straight games and four of their last five came on the road. The Raptors will be glad to be back at home and while Trae had an unimaginable performance against Washington, the Raptors will contain him a little better.

Celtics vs. Heat 1/28/2020 (TBD, TBD)

First the Celtics are struggling and then they're not. Then they are again. That's the Celtics for you. Boston is 30-15 on the year and just took a loss to the Pelicans on the road after winning three straight before that. You'd be surprised to know that Miami has a better record and is higher in the standings than the Celtics. You didn't have that to start the season. To make things worse for the Celtics, the Heat are really good at home. Ride the Heat in this one.

Wizards vs. Bucks 1/28/2020 (-16, 240)

Milwaukee has an eight-game winning streak and will play at home against a Wizards team that just allowed over 150 points to the Hawks. You just know Giannis is going to play extremely hard and well in this one after the news of Kobe Bryant. We haven't heard his story about Kobe yet, but we'll hear about it soon. He'll dedicate this one to Kobe and put on a show.

Key trends: Bucks are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games.

Nuggets vs. Grizzlies 1/28/2020 (+1, 226)

Both teams have won their last two games but only one team will be able to add onto the win streak. Memphis is now two games away from .500 while Denver is 32-14. Memphis defeated two non-contenders while the Nuggets beat the Pelicans and Rockets last. As long as the Nuggets play solid defense on the road, this game should be theirs.

Key trends: Nuggets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Suns vs. Mavericks 1/28/2020 (-6, 228)

It was just a couple weeks ago where Kobe Byrant started trash talking Luka Doncic (jokingly) in Luka's language. Life doesn't make sense. Doncic and Booker both have had great encounters with Kobe. This will be a battle between two of the best young players in our game. I'll take the Mavericks at home where they shoot better, defend better and bring down more rebounds.

Clippers vs. Lakers 1/28/2020 (TBD, TBD) PLEASE NOTE THIS GAME WAS CANCELLED

This game will be quite a scene. The first home game for the Lakers since the passing of Kobe Bryant. Our world has a funny way of working. Both LA teams will play the first Lakers home game at the Staples Center. Chills. Tickets for this game are now at least $1000 for a ticket. The price continues to rise. I'm taking the Lakers to win this game by eight. Kobe.
