The NBA has three boring matchups and sprinkled in two must-watch matchups. The Mavericks will take on the red-hot Jazz at home while the Lakers look to crack the 76ers on the road. The 76ers have been extremely hard to defeat at home. However, do the Lakers have what it takes to win against the spread? Here are the early leans for Saturday's slate.

Mavericks @ Jazz 1/25/2020 (-4, 224)

I know the Mavericks are finally back to full strength (minus Dwight Powell), but you'd be crazy to bet against the Jazz right now. The Jazz are 31-13 on the year, have won three straight, and are 9-1 in their last 10. Utah just destroyed the Warriors, Pacers, and Kings but double digits. The Jazz have buckled down on defense, while the Mavericks simply haven't. Ride the Jazz as far as they'll take you.

Nets @ Pistons (+1, 225.5)

Is Derrick Rose for real? Wait, is Kyrie Irving for real? It's like the two changed places. Rose has put up all-star like stats, while Irving continues to bash his teammates and lose games. The Nets are now 2-8 in their last 10 games and have lost their last five, giving up at least 117 points per game. The Pistons offense has actually been pretty consistent as of late. When the Pistons score more 116 points or more, they win. Just look at their last three wins. If the Nets allow 117 and the Pistons are going to score more than 116. It's a wrap. Take the Pistons at home.

Bulls @ Cavaliers (PICK, 217)

I can't say this enough. The Bulls beat bad teams. They'll have to face the Kings before this one, but it won't matter. Cleveland has fallen out of contention. And if you watch their games, it's like they don't care anymore. The Bulls are still fighting for that slim chance of making the playoffs. Ride the Bulls against bad teams. Always.

Key trends: Bulls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.

Early lean: Bulls, Under

Thunder @ Timberwolves (TBD, TBD)

I just ripped the Cavs, but I feel the same way about the Timberwolves. They've given up on the season and it shows. They're not nearly as bad as the Cavs, but the Thunder are way better than the Bulls. The Thunder are hot right now after winning their last three games, with the last two coming on the road. The Thunder are actually very good on the road and will continue that trend against Minnesota.

Key trends: Thunder are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games.

Early lean: Thunder, Over

Lakers @ 76ers (+4.5, 216.5)

It's something about the 76ers at home. The Lakers are 2-1 on their road trip, and the next stop in the East is the 76ers. James had the luxury of playing on the East for most of his career. And with Josh Richardson injured and out, the Lakers have a good chance to steal this one away from the 76ers on the road. It's so hard to pick against the 76ers at home, but the Lakers are one of the exceptions, especially after already taking a loss to Toronto. It won't happen twice in a row, again.

Key trends: Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.
