Mid-Major tournaments have started and March Madness has officially started. The NCAA Tournament is a big part of the madness, but we've seen some incredible upsets in these mid-major tournaments as well. While there are no ranked games taking place on Friday, there are a couple regular season matchups that could create havoc before a couple tournaments.

Georgia Tech vs. Clemson 3/6/20 (-3.5, 129)

Georgia Tech has turned their season around with four wins in their last five games. The Yellow Jackets have played three straight home games and won each game. Now they'll go on the road to face a Clemson team that helped start their home winning streak two weeks ago. Georgia Tech beat Clemson, 68-59 in their first battle but with Clemson coming home things might change. Clemson has won three of their last five games with losses on the road to Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Clemson is 11-5 straight up while Georgia Tech is a respectable 5-7 on the road. Georgia Tech is one game ahead of Clemson in the ACC standings too. The first game was back and forth early as Georgia Tech pulled away. This time, Clemson will pull away at their home.

Key trends: Tigers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Friday games.

Wake Forest vs. NC State 3/6/20 (-8.5, 153)

Wake Forest has pulled off some solid upsets this season, even at 13-16 on the year. Wake Forest defeated Duke and Notre Dame back-to-back before losing on the road to UNC. NC State also has an upset win over Duke but just recently lost to Duke on the road, 88-69. NC State and Wake Forest are pretty even statistically but Wake Forest will have an edge in rebounding. This will be the only meeting between these two teams but I like Wake Forest on the road. They can score enough points to stick with NC State.

Key trends: Wolfpack are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.

Early lean: Wake Forest, Over

Richmond vs. Duquesne 3/6/20 (PK, 143)

This is a big-time match-up in the Atlantic 10 between two of the top teams. Richmond is second in the standings while Duquesne sits fourth tied with St. Louis and St. Bonaventure. Duquesne sit at 10-3 at home while Richmond is a whopping 8-3 on the road straight up. Richmond has won four of their last five games. The one loss came in a close 75-71 game to St. Bonaventure. Duquesne has won three straight but there's a little luck involved there. The Dukes beat St. Bonaventure in OT, then beat George Mason by three, and then won on the road against VCU in overtime. Richmond will pull away in this one and Duquesne won't be able to make it a game this time around.

Key trends: Dukes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games.

Early lean: Richmond, Over

VCU vs. Davidson 3/6/20 (-2, 135)

To be honest, it's been a disaster for both teams this season. Sure, VCU is 18-12 but expectations were a bit higher this season. The Rams have lost four of their last five games with the lone win coming against George Washington at home. Davidson has choked up some bad losses and has been the most inconsistent team in the A-10 this season. With two straight losses, Davidson is due for a bounce back against a VCU team that just can't get the job done on the road. Davidson at home is the pick in this one.
