Free College Basketball Picks Friday 2/14/2020 and Opening Line Report
Friday's basketball action features no Top-25 teams but some exciting games in other conferences that have winning records. The A-10 will feature an enticing battle between Davidson and St. Bonaventure, while the Mid-American showcases one of the top teams in Akron against a high-powered offense in Central Michigan. There are also two exciting matchups in the Ivy League that bettors will be looking at. Here are the early leans for Friday, February 14. Happy Valentine's Day!
Davidson vs. St Bonaventure 2/14/20 (-4, 133.5)
Davidson has played much better basketball in the second half of the season and just knocked out Fordham, 79-49 in a big lopsided victory. However, St. Bonaventure has won five straight games with a couple blowouts of their own against teams like George Washington and St. Joes. In wins, Davidson's defense has been incredible. They've allowed 49, 50, and 53 in their last three wins while St. Bonaventure's defense also has been stingy. This will be a close game until the finish in a tight, low scoring game. I'll take the point and the underdog in Davidson.
Key trends:
Wildcats are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game.
Early lean: Davidson, Under

Akron vs. Central Michigan 2/14/20 (+3, 155.5)
Akron began to struggle at the end of January, but Akron is now 2-0 with wins ever Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green. Both of these games were home, but Central Michigan has lost two games recently, with one of them coming against Eastern Michigan. Akron is at the top of the conference and should have no problem defensively stopping Central Michigan. Akron allows 64.7 points per game, while Central Michigan averages 81.3 points a game. I like the Akron defense to step up and stop a high-powered offense.
Key trends:
Zips are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
Early lean: Akron, Under
Brown vs. Pennsylvania 2/14/20 (-7, 144)
Remember when Brown was under .500. Not anymore. They've won four straight games in the Ivy League and are becoming a threat quickly. Pennsylvania has won five straight games, with the last four coming in the Ivy League. Penn shoots about five percentage points higher than Brown and also averages six more points per game. At home, Penn will escape in the second half with higher percentage shots down the stretch. If Penn does miss shots, Brown's rebounding will come into play. However, at home, you can expect Penn to get good looks and have them go down.
Key trends:
Quakers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Early lean: Penn, Over
Yale vs. Princeton 2/14/20 (-4.5, 137.5)
Yale has won four of their last five games, with the lone loss coming against Harvard, 78-77. Princeton is now above .500 after defeating Columbia, 81-74 and have also won four of their last five games. Princeton also seemed dead in the water until their most recent surge, but that surge won't continue against Yale. Yale is easily the best team in the Ivy League. They produce 77 points per game and allow just 63.5 points. Princeton's defense hasn't been very good throughout the season, and Princeton will not be able to outscore Yale, even at home. Yale also has a major rebounding advantage.
Key trends:
Bulldogs are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games following three or more consecutive home games.
Early lean: Yale, Under
