Rise of Skywalker Prop Bets: Will Baby Yoda Make Appearance?
Has betting on football, baseball, and other traditional sports been a
menace for you of late? No matter. There is still time to awaken, rise,
strike back, attack, and get some revenge. Star Wars betting props
are here to give you a new hope.
Doc's Sports handicapper Raphael Esparza
has produced all types of betting odds for the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker, which is set to hit theatres just before
Christmas. He has you covered for everything from the film's success (or
lack thereof?) to a potential Baby Yoda sighting to family relationships
all the way to survival odds.
The first of our three-part series of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
covered the Academy Awards
, the box office, Rotten Tomatoes score, and the like. It continues
with…how should we say…more interesting props, such as the number
of times we hear 'May the force be with you,' a possible kiss between
Chewbacca and Princess Leia, and Kylo Ren's appearance. We touch on those
topics in advance of the film's highly anticipated Dec. 20 release date.
Will Baby Yoda make an appearance?
Yes +1000
No -2000
Ricky:
Baby Yoda has taken over the internet…if not the entire world! That being said, The Rise of Skywalker was made before Baby Yoda became a sensation-so director J.J. Abrams would not be aware of the reception a BY appearance would get. Needless to say, it would be epic. Is there even a realistic chance?
Raphael:
As a Star Wars geek fan I'm hoping, but realistically no chance. But maybe during the credits after the movie!!! The better prop would be: Will Baby Yoda show up in the next installment of Star Wars movies? Yes is -2000!How many times will 'May the Force Be With You' be said?
Over 2.5 -140
Under 2.5 +100
Does Darth Vader voice (James Earl Jones) make an appearance?
Yes +160
No -200
Ricky:
We pretty much know Darth Vader's mask will be in The Rise of Skywalker, but will his voice? Everyone loves a little James Earl Jones in their lives, so let's hope so! And will we hear MTFBWY at least three times? The smart money appears to be on 'yes' to that question (or OVER 2.5 times). Is that the way to bet?
Raphael:
Couldn't agree more on the 'Over' 2.5. I'm hearing the fight scenes in this movie are crazy, so we should hear 'May the Force Be With You' at least three times. If I do hear James Earl Jones voice during this movie, I might have to pay off some of the tickets written out of my wallet. A very popular bet right now. Will L3-37 Meet C-3PO?
Yes +2500
No -4000
Will Chewbacca and Princess Leia Kiss?
Yes +2500
No -4000
Ricky:
A kiss shared by Chewbacca and Princess Leia (who infamously did not hug at the end of The Force Awakens following Hans Solo's death) would send more shockwaves through the viewers, but that does not necessarily mean that it's the more likely event to take place. But it might. Abrams said that a lack of a hug in The Force Awakens may have been a mistake, so perhaps he will make up for it in a big way in The Rise of Skywalker. As for the connection between L3-37 and C-3PO that dates back to The Empire Strikes Back, in which C-3PO tells Hans Solo that the Millennium Falcon "has the most peculiar dialect." Will they finally meet in the flesh? You have the same odds for these two props. Which one is the better play?
Raphael:
Neither, but if you want to roll the dice on a big prop price bet the 'Yes' on Chewbacca and Leia kiss. Anything can happen in a Star Wars movie, and why not get some furry love for Chewbacca, who lost his best friend Han Solo in the last movie.
How Many Times will Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) Appear Shirtless?
Over 2 -120
Under 2 -120
Ricky:
Ben Solo? More like Ben Swolo? One of the most notable scenes from The Last Jedi was when Kylo Ren (formerly Ben Solo) appeared shirtless with black paints up to his belly button. The result was internet memes aplenty. You know the public wants more of it, and they will probably get more of it from The Rise of Skywalker. The question-and my question to you-is how many times?!?!
Raphael:
My wife bet the 'yes' not once but twice in The Last Jedi, and I told her it's a good chance this happens again (how I bribed her to go with me at the midnight showing!). Kylo Ren being shirtless in the last movie was a big social media deal, and it wouldn't shock me to see that happen again. But I do like the 'Under'…. I see him being shirtless just one time.
Will Emperor Palpatine Appear as a Force Ghost?
Yes +120
No -160
Yes -2000
No +1000
Ricky:
There is basically no doubt that Luke appears as a Force Ghost, right? But the Emperor Palpatine prop is an intriguing one. The emperor is going to be in The Rise of Skywalker, but it could be as a hologram or a flashback. Or maybe he never really died at all?!?! What say you?
Raphael:
Luke Skywalker as a Force Ghost absolutely, but the Emperor is the million-dollar question. Some reports say yes he is a Force Ghost, but some say he is still alive. I'm leaning towards the plus money (+120) on 'Yes' but will understand if they go the other way. Most Recent Pop Culture Betting
