2018 Grammy Awards Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

Awards season is in full effect, and next Sunday, the week before the Super Bowl, is the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. MyBookie sportsbook was one of the first shops to release odds, and they put out six Grammys betting propositions. The Grammy Awards air live on Sunday night, Jan. 28, 2018, and I know I will have action on these music props. From what I have seen so far, there is money to be made Sunday night at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Two of these categories have huge betting favorites, but overall we could see some good plus-money winners at the Grammys.

Awards shows like this are such a great betting option because a sharp handicapper can easily score a big profit, especially at the Grammy Awards. Last year we saw a huge upset in the category of Album of the Year when the heavy favorite Beyonce's 'Lemonade' -200 went down by Adele's '25', and Adele was as high as 3-1. This year I can guarantee we will see another head-scratcher of an upset, and hopefully I will have the winning ticket. No, I wouldn't have guessed Adele last year!!

This is my first time tackling the Grammy Awards, and we are hoping for the same success we profited in the Golden Globes two weeks ago, going 9-2. Keep an eye out for some plus-money winners at the Grammys and look out for some late line movement, especially for Album of the Year and Best New Artist. If you are going to place some cash on the Grammys, I highly recommend betting them early because these numbers will move quickly because of low limits.

A little shocked that Jay-Z is 4-1 in this category, but I'm sorry for all the Jay-Z fans out there because Kendrick Lamar will win this award. Getting plus-money on Lamar seems like a steal. We saw an upset in this category last year, but this year I see the small favorite winning for Album of the Year. Prediction: 'Damn' - Kendrick Lamar +120

The Story of O.J. - JAY-Z 14-1

Who deserves this and who wins this is probably the million-dollar question, but I have a feeling we will hear 'Despacito' be called as the winner. Bruno Mars at 6-1 for '24K Magic' could pull off the upset, but I see the favorite taking home the Grammy. The sad part of this is now we have to hear this song played for another six months. Best New Artist has always been a coin toss and always gives us head-scratchers. On Sunday night this will not disappoint. I was going back and forth with this category, and the two artists were either SZA or Khalid. I believe SZA should win but it wouldn't shock me to hear Lil Uzi Vert be called the winner. I feel they will get this right. Prediction: SZA +160

Here is a no brainer for the 2018 Grammy Awards! The winner for Best Pop Vocal will be won by Ed Sheeran for 'Divide', and I would be blown away if he gets snubbed. I will tell you that I will have a small ticket on 'Kaleidoscope' from Coldplay because getting Coldplay at 9-1 was too hard for me to pass. Prediction: 'Divide' - Ed Sheeran -230

Best Rap Album

Culture - Migos 7-1

Laila's Wisdom - Rapsody 9-1

Flower Boy - Tyler, The Creator 10-1

 

We have Kendrick Lamar winning Album of the Year, and the oddsmakers have this category 100 percent correct. Some experts believe Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' is one of the best rap albums released in some time, and the other rappers in this category have no chance to steal this award from Kendrick. Prediction: 'DAMN.' Kendrick Lamar -400
