2016 WWE Money in the Bank Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Raphael Esparza - 6/16/2016
WWE's PPV Money in the Bank is live this Sunday from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and this PPV will be so much better than the last big event. I still can't believe this will be the seventh straight year that the WWE has featured a match giving one guy a title shot if he wins the Money in the Bank match. We should see some great matches this Sunday with John Cena back, and of course the Money in the Bank match is always fun to watch. Money in the Bank usually sets up a great SummerSlam card, and feuds that start this Sunday could end at SummerSlam.
Our friends over at MyBookie were one of the first to post odds for this big WWE PPV event, and I have to say this Money in the Bank betting card could have some big surprises with big upsets. If you are going to place some cash on these matches, I highly recommend betting them early because these numbers move quickly because of low limits.
My WWE betting predictions have been profitable, and at Extreme Rules we cashed all six matches, including +125 with the Miz to retain the Intercontinental Championship belt. In the last five WWE PPVs I have gone 24-8. In my last 15 WWE PPVs I am 70-25 (74 percent), and if you are going to place some action on the Money in the Bank card this Sunday, I highly recommend betting them early because these moneylines move in a blink of an eye. Maybe my predictions are also moving WWE betting lines. Heck, I did go a perfect 6-0 the last WWE PPV.
Here are the odds and my betting predictions - Odds Provided by MyBookie
Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day -160
The Club +200
Enzo Amore & Big Cass +500
The Vaudevillains 15-1
Should be a great four-team tag team match. But I wonder why The Vaudevillains are in this match. On Monday night RAW The Club and The Vaudevillains beat The New Day and The Realest Guys in a non-title, four-team tag match. Since The New Day got pinned Monday night, that usually indicates that the champs will win Sunday night. What I’m hearing from multiple sources is that The New Day will lose their belts at Summerslam. So with that juicy information I’m going to lay -160 on the champs. Prediction: The New Day win this match, and I can easily see The Club or Enzo Amore & Big Cass becoming the new champs at Summerslam.
WWE United States Championship Match
Rusev -650
Titus O'Neil +400
So I guess all you need is to get suspended from WWE, and when you get back you get a title shot. Good to know! Titus O'Neil came out of nowhere to get this shot for the United States Championship, and in my eyes he has no chance. This number will get bet up higher as Rusev right now is one of the top 'Haters' in the WWE, and he will keep his belt Sunday night. Prediction: Rusev easily wins and I'm just hoping Lana gets involved for more airtime.
AJ Styles -200
John Cena +150
This feud just started, so in the beginning Cena always loses from the start but before the feud ends Cena gets his revenge and sells more Fruity Pebble type merchandise. I'm really interested to see how long they use AJ Styles and The Club as a group and if they will add more members to The Club. If you would have told me 10 years ago that this match would happen I would have laughed my butt off, but here we are for Sunday night. Prediction: Styles wins the match, and I see Cena getting revenge at Summerslam.
WWE Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns -400
Seth Rollins +260
This could be a great match or a very boring match! Rollins has returned with a vengeance and has his eyes on the prize since he never lost the championship belt in the ring. Rollins tore up his knee almost a year ago and is back now but you have to wonder how healthy he really is. No matter what happens in this match, this feud will go on until SummerSlam. So with that being said I see Reigns retaining the belt. When these two face off at SummerSlam that is when we see this feud boil over, and maybe just maybe we see a new champ.
Money in the Bank Contract
Kevin Owens -150
Dean Ambrose +180
Chris Jericho +650
Cesaro +9-1
Sami Zayn 15-1
Alberto Del Rio 18-1
This Money in the Bank contract match will be the best match of the night, and I can't wait to watch this. Everybody has a shot to win this match except Alberto Del Rio, and he should be higher than 18-1. Its no secret that there are two guys who could benefit the most from grabbing the non-fake gold briefcase and getting a title shot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and those two wrestlers are Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose. With that said, I believe these two wrestlers will go toe-to-toe before someone climbs up the ladder and wins this match. This one will be outstanding to watch. Prediction: Would love to say Cesaro at 9-1 (wishful thinking), but the winner will be Kevin Owens. Grab the -150 quickly before this number moves higher.
