Good morning Middle Tennessee State fans, and what a lovely morning it is! I couldn't be any happier at the fact that we won't be seeing Tom Izzo's face on television for another eight months. Don't get me wrong, he's a good coach, I just dislike him very much.

As day 2 of the NCAA Tournament came to a dramatic close, we witnessed another six upsets* from lower seeded teams. I put the asterisk beside the word "upset" due to the fact that two of the lower-seeded teams closed as favorites on the spread.

Today we see a No.11 seed Gonzaga as one-point favorites over No.3 Utah. Both teams looked solid in their opening-round game, so I am not surprised that this spread is so close and essentially a "pick-em".

Last night I gave out four prop selections I really loved and split them. Picking .500 doesn't pay the bills, so I have dug deep and found a couple of gems I think we can bank to get us back on the winning track.

This game is a matchup in the Midwest region and tips off at approximately 8:40p.m EST for a chance to progress to the Sweet 16.

I really liked what Gonzaga did against Seton Hall on Thursday. They were able to hold Seton Hall to a paltry 32 percent shooting and more importantly contain Seton Hall's leading scorer Isaiah Whitehead.

The next leading scorer they have to worry about is 7-foot center Jakob Poeltl. Good thing they have two solid big men who should be able to contain the Austrian center. Damantas Sabonis stands 6-foot-11 and averages a double-double. The other big man the Bulldogs deploy is their leading scorer Kyle Wiltjer. Standing 6-foot-10 and averaging 20.5 points per game, he will be relied upon for offense as his teammate Sabonis will be focused on the defensive end of the floor.

This is going to be a throwback style game. The game will be won or lost depending on who gets better post production. I don't expect to see many 3-point shot attempts as both teams will look to establish their strengths. I don't think either team gets to 70, which is why I'll be on both teams to stay under their team total of 69.5 points.

Providence vs. North Carolina

I have already spoke about Kris Dunn and Ben Bentil. They are studs and can put up points in bunches. They are the Friars 1-2 scoring punch and are going to have to be at the top of their game to defeat the high-powered North Carolina Tar Heels.

While I think the Tar Heels will ultimately be too much in the end for the Friars to overcome, the Friars will get their points. For example, Florida Gulf Coast shot 60 percent in the first half against UNC. This Friars team is more than capable of taking advantage of that should UNC come out flat once again.

Their track record says they will, as their defensive is definitely the weak point of the team.

This game should soar over the number, and I'm expecting both teams to get their share of points.

Providence +150, UNC -200

I love when the books juice up a 50-50 prop so much. There is too much value on this prop to pass on taking Providence.

I do not want to sound like a broken record, but the UNC defensive is terrible and always come out sluggish. Providence is fresh off their first NCAA win since 1997, and I think they will carry that momentum over into the start of this game.

Dunn and Bentil know they have to be at their very best in order to give their team a shot at winning this game, which is why I think they come out focused and sharp.

I hit Northern Iowa last night with the "first to 20" prop, so let's stay the course.
