Houston, Seth Rollins will have a problem! Sunday night the WWE PPV Night of Champions is at the Toyota Center in Houston, and what a PPV lineup card the WWE has planned Sunday night. After a non-buzz or lack of surprise Summerslam last month, this Sunday night in Houston should provide the excitement and hopefully give us some great upcoming feuds for the next couple of months.
This Sunday's Night of Champions is NOT four hours long like Summerslam was, so it will be easy to watch NFL and this WWE PPV event. Eight matches are on the PPV card in which we will see at least one title switch, and we could see a big surprise in one these matches. Our friends over at 5Dimes were the first to post odds on these matches, and as of Friday morning not one of these matches had odds over -500. Therefore we could see some underdogs barking Sunday night in Houston.
My WWE betting predictions have been profitable, and at Summerslam we went 6-3 with one match being a draw. In my last nine WWE PPV I am 40-16, and if you are going to place some cash on these WWE matches I highly recommend betting them early because these numbers move quickly because of low limits. Night of Champions should also set up some outstanding matches for the next couple of PPVs, and we could see some long storylines for the PPV Survivor Series in late November.
Here are the odds and my betting predictions - Odds Provided by 5Dimes
WWE Tag Team Championship
The New Day -300
Dudley Boyz +220
Prediction: Yes this is not a typo; that does say the Dudley Boyz. Ok, I'm a bit shocked that the Dudley Boyz came back to the WWE, and since they are back I'm hearing the Hardy Boys could be next. With that info, it's not the right time to strip The New Day of the Tag Team titles as they are one of the hottest trios in the WWE. The New Day are entertaining, and watching them dance with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon this Monday was brilliant. The New Day will retain the titles, but I see the Dudley Boyz feuding with the New Day for at least couple months. Winners: The New Day and yes, The New Day still Sucks!
Dolph Ziggler -150
Rusev +110
Prediction: What!? No Lana in this match? She was the only reason why I was interested in this one. Should be a close match, and I'm sure Summer Rae will
be the reason why Rusev loses this match. If you are smart you would lay the
-155 in a hurry because this number will climb to around -300 by Sunday afternoon. Prediction: In this match it will be Dolph Ziggler by the skin of his teeth, and it wouldn't shock me to see this feud end Sunday night.
Six-Man Tag Team
Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns & TBA -150
The Wyatt Family +110
Prediction: I wish I could type all the rumors I'm hearing about who the third partner could be for Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, but I'm limited by my
editor to 1,300 words! I'm completely blown away that the Wyatt Family is underdogs in this match because they easily win this Six-Man Tag match. I have a
feeling this feud goes on through Survivor Series. Really interested to see who helps out Ambrose and Reigns, but whoever does won't make a difference
because the Black Sheep and the rest of the Wyatt Family dominate this match. Take the plus money because the plus money won't be on the board for long.
WWE Divas Championship
Nikki Bella +115
Charlotte -155
Prediction: I can't believe Nikki Bella broke AJ Lee's record for being the longest reigning Divas champion in WWE history, but AJ Lee is married to CM
Punk, and what a way to stick it to Punk. Since Nikki Bella broke that record she really doesn't need the belt, and I see Charlotte winning the Divas title
Sunday night. I also see her feuding with Brie Bella for a while. Sunday we will see a new WWE Divas Champion, and Ric Flair and his daughter will be
styling and profiling all throughout the ring in Houston.
Intercontinental Championship
Ryback -140
Kevin Owens +100
Prediction: It's no secret that I'm not a fan of Ryback, and Sunday night I see the powers that be taking away his Intercontinental Championship belt. One
thing I have to give Ryback some credit for is that his ring performance against Kevin Owens has been impressive, so with this new feud starting I see
Owens winning the belt Sunday night at Night of Champions. This feud will go on into the next WWE PPV. And since Owens is brilliant on the mic and in the
ring, I see Ryback stepping up his game and improving his game as well. Winner and new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens!
WWE United States Championship
John Cena -350
Seth Rollins +250
Prediction: I actually feel bad for Seth Rollins as he has to wrestle not once but twice Sunday night at Night of Champions. Rollins first match will be a
rematch from Summerslam as John Cena tries to get his United States Championship belt back. Tons of WWE websites think Rollins will have both belts heading
into the next PPV, Hell in a Cell, but I believe revenge gets completed Sunday night and Cena gets his belt back. I don't see Nikki Bella losing her belt
and her man not bringing a belt home. Winner of this match is Cena, and the reason why I see him winning is because I don't see Cena battling for the WWE
World Heavyweight Championship all year long, and his open challenge at Monday Night Raw is fun to watch. Winner again is Cena.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins -455
Sting +315
Prediction: Sting is finally going to wrestle in the WWE for the World Heavyweight Championship belt after a decade of waiting for him to do so. Rollins
will be dead tired in this match a confused because he will be one belt short since Cena took the United States Championship. No way in Hell that Seth
Rollins will lose both belts or even lose the Heavyweight belt Sunday night, and I see this feud going into the next PPV Hell in the Cell. The Authority
will be in this match, and it wouldn't shock me to see Triple H do something in this match. I see Sting winning by disqualification, but Seth Rollins will
still be the Heavyweight Champion. It wouldn't shock me to see a Triple Threat match at Hell in a Cell with Seth Rollins and Sting and a possible surprise
third wrestler.
