After a full slate of Saturday Boxing and UFC fights, I'm going to need a show to relax. Sunday HBO shows are usually the break I need. "True Detective" is one of my favorite shows on TV right now, and last season's show was one of the best-written shows I have ever watched. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey's acting last season was just brilliant. Season 2 of True Detective has another brilliant cast, staring Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn. Our friends over at Bovada have posted odds on what character will perish first on Season 2 of True Detective.

I'm going to break down the four characters listed below, and if you haven't watched the show I apologize for the spoilers, but I'm trying to put some entertainment betting cash in my wallet.

Paul Woodrugh (Taylor Kitsch) +200

Prediction: California Highway Patrol officer and war veteran Paul Woodrugh in my eyes is too obvious to be the first character to be killed off the show out of these four. This character seems to be going in all directions so far, and killing him off would leave too many unanswered questions about his past and sexual preference that are slowly unfolding. I see Paul Woodrugh hanging around, and I do believe he will not be the first character killed off. I'm even predicting he will be alive on the last episode of Season 2 of True Detective.

Frank Semyon (Vince Vaughn) +225

Prediction: So Mr. Semyon (Vince Vaughn) is a career criminal and business entrepreneur but has enemies in all directions. I think he has a Russian entrepreneur or Russian mobster plotting against him, and so far Mr. Semyon is looking for a person who took all his money. Someone in his posse is already dead, but I just don't see Semyon being the first to die on True Detective. I could see him dying in the last episode in some dramatic fashion, but as the only true criminal character they have he'll be around until the end.

Ray Velcoro (Colin Farrell) +250

Prediction: Not going to spoil too much here, but I thought Ray Velcoro was dead already. The Velcoro character is a complete mess with his job, his past, being investigated by other departments, ex-wife, ect… and there is no way that son is his. Again, not to be an episode spoiler, but one scene has Velcoro in a doctor's office and the doctor asks him does he want to live? Here is my FREE PICK! Ray Velcoro will be the first character to perish off Season 2 of True Detective, and hats off to Colin Farrell as his acting so far in the show is really good.

Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams) +250

Predictions: So far I love this character on the show, and Rachel McAdams is doing beautiful work so far. Ventura County Sheriff's Office CID Ani Bezzerides is the lead investigator of the main murder, and she is playing a hard-ass female cop so far. Her attitude is an 'I don't care' attitude, and I believe she will be alive at the end of this series and I'm shocked that she is not 4-1 or 5-1. Just the way the show has started in the first three episodes has shown me that she looks like she will be huge in this series, and I would be shocked or I will be pissed if they kill her off first.
