Toledo won nine games and went 7-1 in the MAC West last year. They missed out on a chance at the league title game due to a tiebreaker and a three-point loss against eventual champion Northern Illinois. But Toledo is looking for revenge this year and is one of the favorites to win the league this season.

Toledo likes to play the speed game. They rely on scoring fast and their home-field advantage. The Glass Bowl is one of the toughest stadiums in the MAC for opposing teams to win. That is important because they get Western Michigan and Northern Illinois both at home this year.

Toledo also has a home game against Iowa State this year. It is hard for schools like Toledo to get teams from big conferences to come play them at home.

Phillip Ely is a transfer from Alabama and one of the best quarterbacks in a league that is full of good quarterbacks. He is back along with all of Toledo's key skill people. Ely is coming back from injury. But even if he gets hurt again, Toledo has last year's starter, Logan Woodside, waiting on the bench. They do have to replace everyone on the line, though.

I would play Toledo over their season win total. This team is legit. They keep barely missing the MAC title game because of Northern Illinois. But they have unfinished business and will be very motivated this time around. If they beat NIU at the Glass Bowl on Nov. 3 then the Rockets go 'over'. If they lose that game I don't think they will recover.
