The biggest obstacle facing the 2015 Seahawks is the mental baggage of their Super Bowl choke job. Seattle was one measly yard away from back-to-back titles and immortality. But instead have to settle for being infamous thanks to Pete Carroll's baffling call to end last season.

That mental hurdle may be the biggest obstacle facing the Seahawks this year. But it isn't the only one. They've suffered a brain drain the past two seasons as several coordinators have moved up the ladder with positions in other organizations. Seattle has also seen its enviable depth shattered as former starters and key backups have been lured to other rosters. Their starting 22 is still among the best in football. But there is no depth behind them, and that could be a big problem.

Jimmy Graham gives Seattle a shiny new toy to work with on offense. But the Seahawks have thrown the ball less than any team in football the past three years. The running game is still their bread and butter. But they are relying on a running back that has a lot of wear on his body and an offensive line that has gotten significantly weaker. Russ Wilson will cover up a lot of those issues with his savvy playmaking.

Seattle's defense is still in the top tier and has allowed the fewest points in football - an average of just 15.2 points per game - over the past three seasons. That is one of the all-time greatest runs by any defense. But some disgruntled players have issues with their contracts, some injuries have crept up, and the team lacks the depth that it has enjoyed the last several years.

I don't want to sound too negative about Seattle. Again, they are still among the best teams in football. But I don't expect them to be nearly as dominant this season as they have the past three years, in which they've gone 36-12 while outscoring opponents by an average of over 10 points per game. This is a good number from the books, and I think Seattle will finish with a game of it one way or another. But I'd play 'under' simply to stay ahead of the public rather than trailing behind it.
