The Rebels rolled a 7-0 start into a Top 5 national ranking in 2014 before injuries and some heartbreaking late losses sucked some of the fun out of the campaign. They were also on the wrong end of TCU's war tour in the Peach Bowl, losing 42-3 for a disappointing close to the year.

The Rebels enter the 2015 campaign with 16 returning starters back from last year's group. They have nine offensive starters back, including All-American tackle Laremy Tunsil and stud receiver Laquon Treadwell, who is recovering from last year's gruesome leg injury. Seven guys are back from the No. 1 scoring defense in the nation, one that includes several future NFL players.

However, for all the talent they have coming back there is one area where they are woefully inexperienced: quarterback. Three-year starter Bo Wallace has exhausted his eligibility, and either sophomore Ryan Buchanan or enigmatic transfer Chad Kelly will end up under center.

Ole Miss finds itself in the middle of a loaded SEC West. But they have a schedule that could lend itself to a title run, assuming a quarterback emerges. The Rebels have to travel to revenge-minded Alabama in early September. But the Crimson Tide only have nine starters back, and it could be a benefit for Ole Miss to catch them early. If the Rebels win that game then another 7-0 start is probable.

Then the Rebels hit the gauntlet in their last five games. But three of them are at home, and the Rebels have a great chance of winning at Miss State in the finale. With the talent and schedule in line, I think that Ole Miss is going to win nine games this year. Play them 'over'.
