2015 Season Win Total Prediction: 'Over'
The Minutemen were one of the craziest teams in the country last year! They lost their first six games. But four of those losses were by five points or less and several were crazy comebacks against UMass. They played teams tough all year and went 8-4 against the spread.
Massachusetts has 19 starters back from last year. Senior quarterback Blake Frohnapfel has an impossible name to pronounce but is possibly UMass's best quarterback in a decade. He threw for 3,300 yards and 23 touchdowns last year. He also has almost everyone back from last year's No. 11-ranked passing offense.
A good measure of how far the Minutemen have come is that last year their season win total was just 1.5. Now it has tripled. Can they double last year's wins? I think they can. They have a very tough nonconference schedule. But I think they will be a tough team in the MAC East.
I would play Massachusetts 'over' their season win total. If they can win some road games they could get to five wins. That would match their total from the last three years. I think they can make the leap forward.
