2015 Las Vegas Season Win Total: 8.5

In Andy Reid we trust.

The Chiefs are a team on a razor's edge heading into 2015. They lost more than they gained during the offseason and have one of the most difficult schedules in the league this year. But Andy Reid is nothing if not a proven winner, having won nine or more games in five of the past seven seasons and 11 of the last 15 years.

Kansas City doesn't just have Reid, though. They have a potentially dominating defense featuring the best linebacking corps in the NFL. And if Eric Berry can regain some of his form despite a fight against cancer then the Chiefs back seven will be able to carry this group.

The big questions for this team surround the offense. Alex Smith has proven himself as more than a capable leader, posting a 39-17 record in his last 56 starts. However, the Chiefs offensive line is weak, and their receiving corps - which somehow did not catch a single touchdown pass last season - is grotesque. A healthy season from All-Pro running back Jamaal Charles will help. But even he isn't enough to make up for this group's limitations.

As I mentioned, the Chiefs schedule is rugged and inflexible. Their first four games come against teams that won nine or more games last year, and three of them are on the road. The Chiefs also have a stretch in which they play Pittsburgh, Detroit, at Denver, at San Diego and then against Buffalo. The slate is inflexible, and I don't know that they have the depth to hold up.

I wouldn't touch this season win total. But if I had to give a prediction on this one I'd play 'over' simply out of respect for Reid's proven track record.
