If you clicked on this link because you were curious about my thoughts on how Jacksonville would do this season, you need to re-evaluate your life choices.

All kidding aside, the Jaguars are horrendous. They are one of the most nondescript, unnecessary, unaccomplished franchises in all of sports, and their fan base, such as it were, is in for another season of blowouts, flameouts, and general incompetence.

I will say that I kind of like Blake Bortles, the Jaguars quarterback. If he doesn't get creamed behind Jacksonville's completely average line then he has a chance to develop. Unfortunately, Bortles will be throwing the ball to an old mop, a traffic cone, and a broken refrigerator in his receiving corps, so any advancement by the young quarterback will be tempered.

Gus Bradley is still trying to build a defense that can keep the Jaguars competitive. Their front seven isn't pathetic. It just isn't good enough to do anything but be an occasional impediment to opposing offenses. The Jaguars have finished No. 26 or worse in both scoring and total defense each of the past three years, they don't generate turnovers, and they don't have enough high-end talent to show improvement.

I think the Jaguars can get to four wins, and they are an easy 'under' play. But you have to remember: four wins would nearly be a miracle/successful season for this rabble. They have won a total of 14 games the past four seasons and have averaged 4.8 wins per season over the last seven years. They have been good for exactly 6.5 wins per season over the last 14 years, and that includes 31 wins in three years from 2005-2007.

These guys are losers. Play them 'under'.
