The Indianapolis Colts enter the season as one of the sweetheart teams in the NFL. This seemingly up-and-coming group is one of the favorites to win the AFC and kind of a sheik, sexy pick by prognosticators to win the Super Bowl.

The Colts had a very good offseason. They lost Reggie Wayne but replaced him with Andre Johnson. The additions of Frank Gore, Todd Herremans, Dwight Lowery and Trent Cole will also pay dividends and have injected some more veteran savvy into a group that was already one of the older rosters in the league.

That puts the Colts squarely in "win-now" mode. And that runs a bit counter to the national narrative that this is a "young" team just waiting to fulfill its potential.

There's not a lot to dislike about the Colts. Their offense will be one of the best in the league again this year. They have improved areas where they were weak last year.

But once again the biggest thing Indianapolis has going for them is their schedule. This will be the third year in a row that the Colts will have one of the three easiest schedules in the NFL. That is primarily the result of Indy residing in the weakest division in the league.

The Colts have beaten their season win total each of the past three seasons. The books are wise to their game, though, and have finally moved their number into the double-digit range. Regardless, this still is one of the better teams in the AFC. I think if you can get 10.5 then it is worth it to play 'over'. Some books are already moving to 11.0, and I think the value is significantly less there as I have the Colts going 11-5 again this season.
