2015 Las Vegas Season Win Total: 11.5

Jordy Nelson's injury has certainly slowed down some of the hype surrounding the Packers heading into the 2015 season. But Green Bay remains one of the favorites to win Super Bowl 50 and has the look of a team hell-bent on avenging last year's epic NFC Championship Game collapse this time around.

Even without Nelson this should be one of the best offenses in football simply because they have the best quarterback in the game. Aaron Rodgers is a hero and would lead a Top 5 attack with you, me and some guy off the street as his receivers. Eddie Lacy gives the Packers running game the power it needs, and I expect this group to average nearly 30 points per game again this season.

The defense does have some issues. But unlike teams like the Steelers and Giants, whose offenses will have to deal with the pressure that their bottom-tier defenses will put on them, the Packers never seem to have to compensate too much for their stop unit. Clay Matthews is still one of the four or five best defensive players in football and Dom Capers is one of the most creative and accomplished coordinators in the league.

Green Bay's schedule should also help them get off to a fast start and gain some breathing room in a very competitive NFC North. The Packers play four of their first six games at home and the two road games are each against rebuilding teams in Chicago and San Francisco. The Packers also have a bye week to prep for their biggest test, a trip to Denver, and they should be in a comfortable position heading into a difficult December stretch.

Even though this is one of the highest numbers on the board, I still like the Packers to play 'over' their season win total. They've only won 12 or more games two times in the last seven years, which is a concern, but I think they enter the season as the best team in the best conference in football. There's certainly a lot more to this group to love than there is to be concerned about.
