The Florida State football factory cranked out another big season in 2014 as the defending champions cajoled their way to a 13-1 mark and a slot in the national semifinals. Controversial scumbag Jameis Winston has graduated - and he took five offensive line starters with him - but the 'Noles still have a stacked defense and a new wave of talent to toss at opponents.

Little-used Sean Maguire is ready to step up as Jimbo Fisher's latest quarterback protégé. He'll be guiding an offense with all of its top skill players returning (their top runner and two three wideouts are all back). However, the offensive line rebuild is a major storyline for this team heading into 2015.

FSU's defense should be much better in 2015 after an ugly 2014 effort in which they were outside the Top 50 in rush defense, pass defense and total defense. But seven starters are back, and they have one of the best back sevens in the nation.

Even if the Seminoles are retooling in some areas, they once again have one of the easiest schedules in the country. A home game with Miami should be the only competitive contest in their five six games. By then I expect them to have a lot of things worked out. They also have home games against Syracuse, N.C. State and Chattanooga that should all be wins. They close the season at Florida, a team they've owned recently.

The Seminoles have gone 27-1 the past two years. And that wasn't all Winston. Not even close. There is still a lot of talent in Tallahassee. But the real value on playing this team 'over' is the fact that they play in a putrid ACC. I can see FSU losing at Georgia Tech. And I think they will lose to one of the other Florida schools this year. But I think FSU is going to win at Clemson this season, and I think they'll get to 10 wins.
