Eastern Michigan has been a laughingstock in college football over the past decade. They are just 26-93 in the last 10 seasons and have gone 2-10 each of the past three seasons. They can't do anything right, it seems.
I do not think that things will be much difference this year. The MAC is really good this season. There are a lot of veteran quarterbacks, and there are six teams with a real chance to win the league title in Detroit this December.
Eastern Michigan has to play four of the top teams right in a row. And that comes after they have to go down to Baton Rouge and get crushed by LSU. That one will be a blowout, and they will be beat up for the hardest part of their league schedule.
EMU has its best offensive player back in Reggie Bell. He led them in passing and rushing last year. But if he gets hurt then this team is done.
I would play Eastern Michigan to go over their season win total. I think Eastern Michigan will win one league game in November. I also think that they can get a win or two in September. They have three of four games at home. And Old Dominion and Army are down from last year. I think this team will match last season's two-win total, but that will be enough to cash this ticket.
