Basic strategy teasers continue to be one of the most solid bets on the board for gamblers looking to wager on something outside of standard spreads and totals. The bets are two-team, six-point teasers that use the most powerful NFL key numbers of three and seven to anchor lines around those marks. The bets are currently 9-4 on the season and went 3-1 last week, with Green Bay being the only team unable to take advantage of the added points.

This week there are only three basic strategy teasers on the board, beginning with Chicago receiving points at home and both Indianapolis and Pittsburgh giving away points against two struggling teams. Let's take a closer look at the best basic strategy teaser options for Week 4 of NFL football.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Line : Bears +1.5

Six-point teaser : Bears +8.5

Green Bay and Chicago seem to be on two separate paths at moment. Chicago is 2-1 and just inserted itself as a major player for the NFC North division title, while Green Bay is 1-2 and may struggle just to make the postseason. Aaron Rodgers does not seem to be surrounded by any weapons whatsoever, but for some reason Green Bay is still a small favorite heading into one of its biggest road divisional matchups of the season.

The Packers are 0-3 ATS and should be an underdog in this spot. Adding six points and teasing the game in Chicago's favor feels like the strongest wager on the board. Green Bay could win this game, because Chicago is still Chicago and Jay Cutler is always liable to throw a five-interception game. However, the 8.5 points should be more than enough for the Bears to cover.

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts

Line: Colts -8.5

Six-point teaser : Colts -2.5

Indianapolis may have started the year with two disappointing losses, but do not let that slow start fool you-the Colts are an elite team. Andrew Luck is a spectacular quarterback with offensive weapons at every position, and he is always a threat to make a late-game comeback. The squad annihilated Jacksonville last week and will be looking to put another impressive performance in the books.

The Colts are probably a favorite to cover the original spread after Tennessee's no show against Cincinnati that resulted in a lopsided 33-7 loss. The Titans are 1-2 ATS and have looked downright bad outside of their season-opening victory over Kansas City. Teasing Indianapolis down to a 2.5-point favorite is a strong teaser and one of the best of the week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Line : Steelers -7.5

Six-point teaser : Steelers -1.5

This matchup is the worst teaser on the board simply because bettors can't trust either team. Pittsburgh opened the year with a great first half against Cleveland, fell apart during the second half then got destroyed by Baltimore in Week 2. Then they put on the performance of a lifetime against Carolina last week.

Tampa Bay, on the other hand, was expected to improve greatly in 2014 and possibly contend for a playoff spot. The team, however, has not lived up any of those expectations during the early part of the season and gave up an embarrassing 56 points to the Falcons last Thursday. Pittsburgh is not a powerhouse by any means, but Tampa Bay has been so bad that taking the Steelers in this situation actually feels like a solid wager to make.
