NFL Week 13 Betting Props at Bodog
by Richard Gardner | Bodog Sportsbook Manager - 12/3/2010

As we enter Week 13 of the NFL season, it's interesting to note that four quarterbacks are tied for the league lead in touchdown passes. Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Eli Manning and Philip Rivers each have 23 of them, followed by Matt Cassel and Peyton Manning, both with 22. In other words, the race for the most TD passes is pretty darn tight.
So, which quarterback will end up with the most? According to the odds makers at Bodog, Brady is the 7/2 favorite, and for good reason. The Patriots' superstar has simply been on fire of late, throwing nine TDs in his last three games. He also hasn't thrown an interception since Week 6, suggesting he's in quite the zone.
That said, Brady will have a tough time on Monday night against a very good Jets defense, potentially allowing a few of the other contenders to take the lead.
Certainly Peyton Manning (15/4) would like to bounce back this week after a dreadful performance against the Chargers. Indianapolis hosts Dallas on Sunday in a game the Colts hope to have receiver Austin Collie back for. As has been well publicized, Indy's been decimated by injuries this season, something that certainly hasn't helped Manning's numbers. Nor has the play of the offensive line, which will have to improve if the Colts hope to make the playoffs.
Moving on, Brees and Rivers are each getting 4/1 odds to lead the league in TD passes. As far as these two are concerned, we've booked slightly more action on Rivers with bettors perhaps looking at the Chargers' relatively easy schedule to finish the season.
One relative long shot that's garnered a few bets is Cassel at 12/1. The Chiefs' quarterback has been absolutely deadly in his last three outings, throwing 10 TD passes against no interceptions. Cassel might not pass for 300 yards per game on very many occasions, but he sure knows how to operate in the red zone.
The race for the most touchdowns scored is another close one. Bodog's current favorite on our NFL props board is Houston running back Arian Foster at 7/4, followed by Cleveland's Peyton Hillis at 2/1. Foster and Hillis each have 13 TDs, rushing and receiving combined.
But the leader in touchdowns is Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe (14), who bettors can get at a tempting 5/1. Bowe has an impressive seven TDs in his last three games and is taking advantage of the fact that most defenses that face the Chiefs are so focused on stopping the NFL's best rushing attack that they leave him with plenty of space to operate.
