Most people think that football season if over. However, the Arena Football 2008 season starts Friday and this version of football actually has the potential to be much more profitable than the NFL. The lines are weaker because the oddsmakers don't spend that much time making the odds, so there are plenty of opportunities to profit.

The first game is Friday with New Orleans at Los Angeles and the weekend's action concludes with two games on Monday night. On Monday San Jose travels to Chicago and the game is on ESPN2. There will be many games on Monday night this season.

We are expecting a huge weekend in arena football this year.

As of Wednesday there has been some big line movement in Week 1 Arena numbers already. In the Dallas at Georgia game, Dallas opened at as one-point chalk and they are now favored by 3 1/2. Kansas City is at home against Tampa Bay and opened at -3 before being bet down to -1 ½. The Monday night game on ESPN2 with San Jose at Chicago the total opened at 106 and now it's 103.
