Austria and Switzerland automatically gained births for hosting the three-week tournament, while world soccer powers Germany, Italy, Spain and France are just several of the top nations involved. England's shocking omission and failure to qualify was without doubt the most puzzling to witness this past fall.

Euro 2008 runs June 7-29 and matches take place throughout the various cities of co-host countries Austria and Switzerland.
