Inside Las Vegas
by Vegas Sports Informer - 04/20/2007
Here we go with my new idea to tell the rest of the world what is going on in the Las Vegas sports books. I gamble and live here in Sin City so I have the inside scoop of what the Vegas books are doing and thinking. I have many contacts inside the Vegas books so now I'm ready to tell the betting public what I know.
Here is another of many articles called, Inside Las Vegas
The NBA Playoffs start tomorrow and the Vegas books are ready for the action. For some odd reason the NBA Playoffs bring some heavy money and heavy traffic from California. As long as the Los Angeles Lakers are in the playoffs the Vegas sports books do well. Too bad the Lakers will lose to the Phoenix Suns in the first round. And don't forget that the Lakers are not the only California team in the NBA Playoffs. The Golden State Warriors are the No. 8 seed and they are playing the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors seem to have the Mavericks' number as of late, as they are 17-5-2 ATS in their last 24 meetings. This year alone the Warriors swept the Mavericks, 3-0. I would love to see Golden State shock the NBA world and beat the Mavericks in the first round. Then, maybe, the Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be so upset he will buy my loveable losers, the Chicago Cubs.
The NFL draft isn't until next week but the guys over at the Las Vegas Hilton already put up lines for the NFL Week 1. That's right! The NFL regular season is nearly five months away and a Las Vegas casino already has NFL numbers up. This is just another reason why the NFL rules the Las Vegas sports books because now that one casino has Week 1 odds, more casinos will follow.

If week 1 numbers are already up then that means that divisional odds and the popular over/under NFL season win totals will not be to far away. I can't be believe it's only April and I already have the NFL on the brain. It's never too early to start handicapping!!!
Every week I will have a new post. So keep an eye out.
