Inside Las Vegas
by Vegas Sports Informer - 04/04/2007
Here we go with my new idea to tell the rest of the world what is going on in the Las Vegas Sports Books. I gamble and I live here in Sin City so I have the inside scoop of what the Vegas books are doing and thinking. I have many contacts inside the Vegas books so now I'm ready to tell the betting public what I know.
Here is the first of many articles called, VSI: Inside Las Vegas.
This weekend in Las Vegas will be the first live Formula One Racing on the streets of downtown. Can you imagine if one of these cars took a wrong turn and started racing down The Strip? Most Vegas books have odds on this race, so when I was betting the NCAA Championship Game on Monday I grabbed an odds sheet for this race.
Here are the odds for the 2007 Vegas Grand Prix:
Sebastian Bourdais 7/5
Neel Jani 3/1
Paul Tracy 7/2
Will Power 9/2
Graham Rahal 7/1
Justin Wilson 10/1
Alex Tagliani 12/1
Simon Pagenaud 15/1
Robert Doornbos 18/1
Matt Halliday 25/1
Tristan Gommendy 30/1
Bruno Junqueira 30/1
Field (All Others) 10/1
Another hot topic in the Las Vegas books is that the 2007 Masters starts this week and everybody and anybody has different kinds of Tiger Woods Props. The best place to bet golf props or golf futures is the Hilton Casino or what the Vegas public calls it, "The SuperBook." The Vegas books are also getting ready for the dog days of summer and that is MLB Baseball. Baseball threw their first pitch on Sunday and Monday was the big opening day. Most off-strip sports books are busy with baseball while the books on The Strip are usually slow at this time. If you work on The Strip and baseball season is here, that usually means vacation time.
Every week I will have a new post. So keep an eye out.
