This week 2008 FedEx Cup odds were posted at Sportsbook.com, Superbook.com and Sportsbetting.com, and it should come as no surprise that Tiger Woods weighs in as the favorite. Here's a look at the other top four individuals and how they stack up against the World's no. 1…

The Masters Breaks Tradition by Switching TV Networks
by Max - 10/12/2007
After years of trying to break through into the most hallowed golf tournament, the Worldwide Leader in Sports has finally gotten its foot into the door. It was announced this week that ESPN will air early round coverage of the 2008 Masters, held each April in Augusta, Georgia. Veteran golf announcer Mike Tirico will serve as host for ESPN, but the time coverage on Thursday and Friday will not change. Only three hours of late golf will be shown for the first two rounds from 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. EST. The traditional replay of the day's coverage will start at 8 p.m. EST each night.

Golf Tournament Betting
by Josh Nagel - 10/12/2007
Golf might be the most gambled-upon sport for those who enjoy playing it. A few bucks changing hands on the links never is a rare sight, and some of the biggest and most legendary gambles to take place in Las Vegas outside of the poker tables are known to have happened on a golf course.

Tiger Does Not Offer Value in Tulsa
by Joe Paciella - 08/09/2007
When Tiger Woods steps off of his private jet in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for this year's PGA Championship, he will be close to a 2-to-1 favorite to lift the Wanamaker Trophy at week's end. After dusting the field at the Bridgestone, it seems like this would be the time to bet on the world's No. 1, but hold on…here are a few reasons why you shouldn't.

PGA Championship Odds and Analysis
by Trevor Whenham - 08/07/2007
The last golf major of the year is just around the corner. Every time I write a preview for one of the big tournaments I feel like an unoriginal moron, but I can't help it. There is no way that I can write about this tournament or any other without gushing about Tiger Woods, saying that he is deservedly the heavy favorite, then complaining that there isn't much value given the price. I may as well just write one article and then change the name of the course and the tournament as appropriate.

U.S. Open Betting Odds and Preview
by Trevor Whenham - 06/12/2007
I am not at all happy with Adam Scott right now. He had the chance to make this U.S. Open preview incredibly simple to write. He looked like he was on his way to an easy win at the St. Jude, so I was poised to write about how he was dangerous and in form, throw in the standard Tiger and Phil references, pick an obscure name or two for good measure, and bingo - preview written.

eBay: A Haven for Masters Merchandise
by Max - 04/09/2007
The Masters golf tournament just completed this week and unknown Zach Johnson walked away with the green jacket beating the likes of Tiger Woods and Retief Goosen. This was the first time in decades that the winning score was over par and the tournament certainly had the feel of a U.S. Open. The Masters has always claimed to be a tradition unlike any other and that is certainly the case in more ways then one would think. The following examines some of the unique situations of the Augusta National Golf Club and its limited membership.

2007 Masters Odds and Betting Suggestions
by Trevor Whenham - 04/03/2007
The Masters is just around the corner. That means it is finally the time of year when golf tournaments matter. It also means that the casual bettor will start looking towards golf again. The bad news for those bettors is that, on the surface, the Masters is not going to be a very interesting tournament to bet on. To be a pleasure to handicap, the outcome of an event like this has to be somewhat in doubt, and the chances of a seriously huge payday at least have to be reasonable.

PGA Tour Betting Essentials
by Trevor Whenham - 01/10/2007
If it seems like it was only a few weeks ago that the PGA season ended, that's because it was. I don't feel bad for them because they make a fortune, but golfers really do have the longest season this side of NASCAR. The 2007 season kicked off last weekend in Hawaii with a win for Vijay Singh. For most bettors, the golf season only gets any attention a few times a year - the four majors, and maybe the Ryder Cup every other year. If you share that attitude then you are definitely missing out on a regular chance for action, and you may be leaving some profit on the table, too.
