Temple +7.5 over Ohio - Friday, 7 pm EST
Simply put, this isn't the Temple we have seen over the last couple of years. Granted, they aren't going to be in a BCS game any time soon. However, they have been a consistent moneymaker this season with a 6-2 mark ATS.
The Owls have won their last three games in conference, and now have a chance to knock off their third straight team from the state of Ohio. Temple is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog, as well having covered their last four games in MAC play.
Prediction: Temple 25, Ohio 20
UAB +11 over Southern Miss - Saturday, 7 pm EST
The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss have been a consistent power in C-USA, but through poor play and some injuries they have taken a step back this season. At 4-4 they have pretty much shot themselves in their own foot in terms of trying to win the conference, and now must essentially win out to find a way into a respectable bowl game.
Considering how inconsistent USM has been, this is too many points for them to be laying on the road to a solid UAB team. The Blazers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog, as the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Prediction: Southern Miss 34, UAB 28
SMU +19 over Houston - Sunday, 8 pm EST
Here's another C-USA matchup where the points are just not indicative of how competitive this game will actually be. The Mustangs are scoring too much to fall by three touchdowns in this one, as they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine vs. teams with winning records.
SMU is also 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as a road underdog of 10.5 points or more. Behind dual threat quarterback Justin Willis, the Mustangs are definitely in the role of spoiler, and they'll keep this one interesting and attempt to knock the Cougars off the pedestal of top team in C-USA.
Prediction: Houston 42, SMU 33
