Air Force +6 over New Mexico - Thursday, 9 pm EST
The Falcons really have taken off. Winner of three straight, they have not only covered each of those victories, but they are also vying for the Mountain West title. In this one they face a competitive Lobos team, but still I question why they are receiving this many points?
Air Force has covered three straight in the series, and in a game that should be pretty tight throughout, the points are a golden. Shaun Carney has been a wonder for the Falcons offense, and his leadership has really put his team in a great position at the midway point in the season. He carries his team to the nice road victory.
Prediction: Air Force 24, New Mexico 23
Buffalo -1.5 over Akron - Saturday, 1 pm EST
Despite their 4-4 record against the spread, the Bulls have been much more competitive against superior competition. But in this one they are the better team, hosting an Akron squad that has been a mess away from home.
Buffalo is coming off back-to-back home victories against conference opponents, and this is a matchup where they should be able to take advantage of a Zips team that is allowing over 35 points per game on the road.
Quarterback Drew Willy will outshine Akron's struggling duo under center and Buffalo will continue their push for bowl eligibility.
Prediction: Buffalo 31, Akron 21
Memphis/Tulane Over 56 - Saturday, 3:00 pm EST
Here we have two C-USA teams that aren't exactly LSU when it comes to the defensive side of the ball. Both are giving up around 30 points per game, and this one could get up there scoring wise as a back-and-forth affair.
The winner in this series has come out to average over 40 points over the last six meetings. The over is 7-1 for the Tigers in their last eight road games, while the over is also 5-1 for Tulane in the last six after scoring over 40 in their previous game.
Memphis is surrendering over 42 points per game on the road this season, giving up 470 yards to boot. They won't do much to stop Tulane and the nation's leading rusher Matt Forte. But they will help add to the point total in this high scoring conference match-up.
Prediction: Tulane 38, Memphis 37
